Compare the two.

Take note of the stark "contrast" and from where the hate emanates...

1. Well, that should be illuminating for the lorgnette-and-pearls crowd here,

as if they're looking in a mirror.

2. they'll ignore it and focus on the bad orange man and the petty Muller indictments...

it's the only thrill they get, that is, the ones they give themselves.

3. The great divide stems from the radical left Congress.

The left refuses to hear anything realistic. We can't take in every foreigner who wants to come in. We need to put ourselves and our own poor and homeless first. We average people are trying to stay afloat ourselves and for most of us that is a challenge in itself.
When you ask them how they rationalize the dirty tactics of their party, they snicker.

4. I'm a die hard libertarian.

I have bible thumping republican buddies and some seriously socialist buddies.

My old college roommate is a hardcore "resist" type of guy. We know when to talk politics, and when to talk tv and other junk.

I won't spend my time with people that go out of their way to be jerks, and don't put up with racism, or people who think they are better than others. No time for that.

5. I admire your position

Where I live, in suburban TX. I have friends and associates across the political spectrum. When we set dogma aside. it’s always amazing the amount of common ground we share.

6. I work with people all over the globe,

many different races, religions, and customs. When it comes down to it, we all want the same things. Good things for our familes, kids that do well in school, and a good laugh and some rest at the end of the day. There is more that binds us than there are things that pull us apart, it all comes down to which you want to listen to.
