Christian Bale thanks 'Satan' for inspiration on playing Dick Cheney as he accepts his Golden Globe

- Christian Bale won the Golden Globe for his role as Dick Cheney in the film Vice

- In his speech he thanked Satan 'for giving me inspiration for playing this role'

- The film depicts former Vice President Cheney as the ruthless mastermind behind George W Bush's presidency, largely criticized by conservatives

- The Church of Satan tweeted Bale's praises, writing 'Hail Christian! Hail Satan!'

- Meanwhile, social media was shocked by Bale's British accent during his speech, as he's known for playing iconic roles using an American accent

4. My guess: he's so (mistakenly) convinced of his superiority that if he merely mentions

the name Satan, particularly attached to a story about a Hollyweirdo in the context of attacking a Republican, that he will be metaphorically kicking over the ant pile to watch righty race about while he sits there with his magnifying glass in the sun.

So far the thread is a big yawner.

9. Uhm, no. It means just because they can act doesn't mean they are clever dicks

and have all the answers to world problems. I think they should be only listened to when they are acting.

Dick Cheney is a cunt though ............... in my opinion.

10. Right-wingers aren't going to like all the trump movies. Not one bit.

trump makes Cheney look like the Dalai Lama by comparison. Maybe Christian Bale can portray trump---if he's willing to appear with hair that fucked up.

13. I was looking at the weekly sales from Rotten Tomatoes.

$30M is still pretty pitiful.
