Vice

Amazing transformation of Christian Bale into a fat, old Cheney (inspired by Satan) plus Sam Rockwell as W. Rockwell was brilliant as Chuck Barris in “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.”

3. I would never trust Hollywood to portray anyone from the right.

They just don't have it in them to do it without pushing their own leftist political worldview.

I will not even bother to watch this when it is free on TV.

4. I'm wondering how it's doing at the box office

Couple years ago the left did a anti NRA hit piece movie called "Miss Sloan", was released right after Cankles lost the election(timing was intentional) ,

It lasted 1 weekend and only took in 2 million dollars, cost 10 million to make.

7. We saw Vice on Saturday and watched

the Golden Globes last night. Prior to this had you asked me about Christian Bale I would have drawn a blank, although after checking him out I did see the Big Short and 3:10 to Yuma. Watching him at the awards after just seeing him in Vice was, as you say, truly amazing.

Not only his performance but I still can't see how the director understood how Bale could transform into Cheney with such an astounding likeness, I realize he gained 40 lbs but still. Not only that but he had his mannerisms nailed along with the voice match, and this coming from one with a British accent.

Unbelievable.

And Rockwell was spot-on as W. We saw him on Broadway a number of years ago "A Behanding in Spokane" with the great Christopher Walken. Fortunately our seats were 2nd row center so we were close enough to catch Walken close up in all his endlessly entertaining facial expressions, offbeat timing and the vocal inflections. One of my all time favorite plays.
