LOL millenials are afraid of doorbells

https://abc7chicago.com/society/millennials-admit-theyre-afraid-of-doorbells-in-twitter-thread/5333214/

I was watching a blurb on my local "news" in order to catch todays weather, I googled the topic and found this link from Shitcago, I guess it has to do with the unexpectedness of it all, "who could be at the door?" "I didn't order anything from Amazon, could it be Jason, or Freddie?".

1. Sometimes it pays

to be a bit....paranoid.

I bet those other four families were so glad they didn't answer the door.

"The two youths were indicted on a range of charges. The indictment said that they had made four previous tries over six months to gain entry to houses in the area in Vermont and New Hampshire, with the intent of robbing their victims, getting their ATM cards and passwords, and then killing them. In the first case, on July 19, 2000, they cut the telephone wires to a house in Vershire, Vermont, before Tulloch knocked on the door and tried to gain entry with a story about his car having broken down. He was refused entry, as they were in the other three instances before they attacked the Zantops."

3. Hah!!

Mr squeek did that one time by accident when he was cleaning the shotgun. Those poor guys at the door nearly shit themselves. Turned out they were out hiking in the woods and got lost

So anyway, yeah...that's something I've given serious thought to over the years. There are like seven or eight guns here in the house along with the shotgun. I really need to know how to load and shoot it. They don't offer much protection if ya can't shoot 'em.

4. To many crazies today

I would highly suggest it. Always have my Glock 20 next to me in the house. Answerd the door many times with it.

5. True...

this world has lost its collective mind. Nuts all over the place. You can literally be assaulted anywhere. Anytime I'm away from home I always check out the exits and entrances.

I don't have a permit but Mr s does. He always has a small handgun on him, whether we're out or at home. He's retired police Sgt. so for him it's natural.

I've lived with guns for nearly 25 years and I'm comfortable with them being here. And he is an excellent shot.

6. Get your carry permit

Mr Squeek can't be with you 24/7. Think of it as an insurance policy.
