How do you pronounce coyote?

Just curious. I don't think either is "wrong." I grew up saying Ky-oh-tee but it seems like more and more people I talk to say Ky-oat.

yoats or yo-tee. The ranchers just called them Pests.

6. Yep, "Targets" especially the sheep ranchers during

 

the birthing season. Back in Idaho, Coyotes were shot on sight and hung from fences as a deterrent.

Some of the residents would even do that to Californians, if it were legal

My .223 Winchester Model 70 Coyote I pronounce Ky-oh-tee.
I use it to kill the Coyote animal that I pronounce Ky-oat or Yoat.
The miserable human smugglers in Mexico I pronounce Ky-oh-tee.

... Kay bek rather than Quee bek. But sometimes I'll say Wor-ches-ter-shire sauce rather than Woostershire, just to piss off a Brit...
