1. When did those women play the same teams as the men did? Or does equal pay not mean for equal work

...anymore?

2. There is a capitalistic solution to this...get more fans

Professional players get paid based on revenue of the teams which comes down to fans.

3. Yep, that is typically how it is suppose to work....more fans equals higher sales numbers...

...equals higher $$$ going to the players with the best players getting the higher % of that cut. Where's the incentive to get better if we follow this lefty idea that everyone should be paid the same regardless of effort?

4. Which they've already done for the last few years.

The USWNT brings in more money (to their employer, the USSF) from games than the men. The men make more from TV deals and corporate sponsorships, although that gap is shrinking VERY quickly. Overall, it's very, very close, with the trendlines favoring the women. When this year is said and done, it's pretty much a given that the women will bring in more money than the men (victory tour revenues alone will see to this).

No secret I'm no big fan of capitalism, but it's absolutely right to say that there's a very, very strong business case for the women making at least equal amounts now.
