The rush to judge someone prior to knowing all of the facts and evidence is VERY worrisome.

The fact of the matter is, in our society, no matter what the alleged crime - a person is innocent until PROVEN guilty beyond a shadow of reasonable doubt. Yet, here we have the second instance in as little as 3 years where a man is being called a murder for defending himself.. with no evidence to support that claim. This is troubling for a variety of reasons. A civilized society does not find a person guilty without knowing all of the facts. What we are seeing here is a shift towards barbarism, mob rule, and anarchy.

1. Your call for civilised thinking and behaviour

would have you labelled a "troll" in some arenas, it seems.

2. Your post title and the content underneath are conflicting each other.

Going by the content of your post, you have convicted Mike Brown, and judged his killer to be an innocent Boy Scout, and by the wording of your post, did the same thing with the Trayvon Martin case, despite the fact that THAT murdering piece of filth Zimmerman had a documented record of violence and erratic behavior, a pattern that has continued after he got away with murder.

So before you accuse others of rushing to judgement, better check yourself first......

3. that video is pretty damning. most people, if presented with that intensely menacing

and sociopathic behavior, would be justified in using force.

hard to say if the behavior sustained itself further that day, but we will see.

4. It's not a shift towards barbarism, mob rule, or anarchy. It's not a shift at all.

This is pretty much the way it's always been.

6. I am troubled as well

Mike Brown was a jaywalking suspect. Then minutes later he was dead. Days later he was a thug according to many RWers who deserved to die.

7. All of that is irrelevant to the issue of whether or not he assaulted the police officer..

and the exact details of that assault. What he was stopped for, what he did prior to that stop, what he had for breakfast, his education, his facebook posts, all of that shit is completely irrelevant.

8. Really????

I had no idea. Perhaps what Brown did moments before the officer confronted him is irrelevant as well. It might even be irrelevant that Brown punched him if he did. Because the evidence thus far looks like Brown fled and then surrendered when he was shot at and then executed. I am just sayin what it looks like. The trial may provide the enlightenment that the FPD has thus far failed to provide.

9. What evidence?

The only evidence there is says he was shot while facing officer Wilson with his right arm outstretched.

And yes, what Brown did moments before Wilson confronted him is irrelevant. He could've been walking a little old lady across the street. All that matters is what happened from the moment they made contact until the last shot was fired.

10. If that is all that matters

why is it that the Right is trying to smear Brown's character and act like Wilson is some kind of angel?

11. Beats me.

I'm only concerned with whether or not he was rightfully defending himself from someone attacking him, and that is all anyone should be concerned with.

But, I guess I can imagine that they are trying to smear Brown's character because Wilson has been thrown under the bus from the very start.

13. Evidence? Pfft

If hannity or rush said "It is possible that Obama used a time machine and went back to 1980 and beat up mother Teresa" they would be running all over posting about how Obama is a nun beater. If Obama shook hands while meeting Putin they would go tell everyone that he was sealing a deal to sell americans into soviet fema labor camps.

In other words, if it is something negative about a black guy, they don't question it. Ever. Rick Perry gets indicted? It's prejudice, bias, etc - that white boy can't be guilty. He's an immigrant hating muslim loathing christian republican so they won't believe anything about him if it seems negative. He's a good boy, just like his momma raised him.

What we are seeing here is a shift towards barbarism, mob rule, and anarchy. What you are seeing is what the right does every day on fox news and NOW suddenly....they want to wait for answers.

Hunh. What's up with that shit?
