Can we as a group not allow gender discussions to become monologues?

We all have our own experiences.

Additionally re: gender, the idea that somehow human behavioral traits couldn't possible be heritable is essentially the same as arguing for a flat earth.

That "debate" is over and you are dismissed for Spring Break.

5. That would be your biological sex.

sex and gender are related but separate concepts.

Your suggestion that anyone who is not cis should jump off a cliff is noted.

6. Point being...

Your Gender is decided at birth. The only way to change it is to try again. (good luck)

Your mindset is totally different.

13. No, that is sex

gender are the ideas associated with being male or female.

Additionally, people's chromosomes and genitalia don't always match. Even sex isn't as rigid as people tend to think.

10. You say gender discussions should not be monologues

and then say that realizing what a crock of shit EvoPsych is is akin to being a Flat Earther. And then dismiss everyone from the conversation.

Funny

15. do you believe in Evolutionary Biology? Evolution?

you do realize that Evolutionary Psychology is the study of the endocrine system in human evolution, right? you should google Bob Sapolsky @ Stanford. an old mentor of mine. you might need to bring a lunch for this conversation i think lol.

do you believe that human behavioral traits are heritable? are any human traits heritable or does Evolution happen everywhere except in the endocrine system?

if that's really the case, then Flat Earth was charitable don't you think? is all scientific discovery or just the ones that may make a human feel less then special and not feed the Disney Princess/Prince special snowflake narrative?

im really curious if we can have a rational discussion.

You might consider putting away the pitchforks and torches.

18. Looks like you went after that poster pretty hard.

Thus the torches & pitchforks remark.

Not suggesting reestablishing gender wars-- just suggesting that dismissive proclamations and snarling responses might not be the best approach.

27. Not all human traits are inherited.

And most of them come from childhood experiences because that is when the brain is developing.
And example of this would be authoritarian personality...which is formed by punitive or critical parents...and once formed it is unlikely that it can ever be changed and the child will grow up thinking it is normal behaviour.
But at the same time it could be that a biological aspect to the brain causes it too...but that is far rarer than environment.

Parenting and environment if far stronger than biology in forming the person.

12. why? without the thin veil of collusion with Dem ideal and big F feminism like at DU,

i understand that this is a forum for all views debated civilly.

if HoFfers wants to circle the Rascal scooters in their realm for a bit and pout at new ideas so be it, but they wont.

if the discussion is here they will be here. attention seeking behavior necessarily seeks attention. its like a drug.
but when they do show up, its hard to argue frame and utilize personal attack if there is non-hysterical rational discussions happening among respectful adults.

no worries my friend.

19. This whole post fails at what you suggest in your Op

and does exactly what you accuse the women of Hof, of. Talk about hysteria. You really seem to be heading toward that hysteria when thinking about the Hof women.

24. I always just ignore the hypocrites.

I've been to see the elephant and could never under stand why others of their sex had nothing to say. The elephant being Islam.

The feminists in our country are, without a doubt, the biggest hypocrites that have ever existed on this earth.

I have lived in Islamic countries. They treat their women worse than our laws allow us to treat our dogs.

These loud and rude nonstop complainers do not utter one single word or protest about how women are treated under Islam. About one third of this world allows this horrific treatment but the radical feminists in our nation are mute about it. They refuse to speak up about it at all.

American feminists are the biggest hypocrites in existence.

25. American feminists are mute about the oppression of women and girls

in other countries? Really?

I'd ask for a link or two but I dig that it's kind of hard to prove something that supposedly doesn't exist. So never mind.

26. I think on a forum the only way it can become a monologue

is a dedicated block of posters all agreed to say pretty much the same thing over and over. And we know that never happens.
