Here is what I'd like to see.

Obama impeached
removed from office
and imprisoned in Gitmo for the rest of his life.

11. Heh...

Okay, this may be a dumb question, but bear with me coz I'm not American and don't know these things. For a president to be impeached, don't they have had to have broken the law? Not getting a speeding fine breaking the law, but really serious shit? What laws has Obama broken?

12. "For a president to be impeached, don't they have had to have broken the law?"

In short, not really.

The House of Representatives has a wide latitude in what it can define as a "high crime(s) and misdemeanor(s)" in an article of impeachment, even something vague such as abuse of power or failure to uphold the oath of office. There is no requirement to prove a crime was committed for the Senate to vote to remove someone from office. In fact, its decision would have no bearing on the bringing of any subsequent criminal charges or trial in the regular judicial system.
The Senate can only remove the impeached from office and prohibit him from holding office in the future.

"What laws has Obama broken?"

The only possibility I am aware of would be the alleged violation of the War Powers Act in regard to military deployment in Libya in 2011. The House is full of lawyers, though. They could come up with something that sounded good if they wanted to impeach Obama.

4. It is a cultural thing.

I don't want anything bad to happen to Obama. I would like for him to finally get a clue as to what his job is and do that for a couple of years at least. Barring that, I hope he has an uneventful few years and is at least a good enough man to realize that ex-presidents should be fairly quiet and enjoy life.

I don't want anything to happen to him. Not an impeachment, not a conviction, and god forbid not a near successful attempt or successful assassination, the left would make him in to a martyr bigger than JFK.

Just do the job, finish the job, and show up in amusing photos once in a while afterwards.

13. The cons are suffering post election depression.

They were just reminded how impotent they really are, and the dark man is still in the "white" house. It really does boil their balls. How do I know this? Glad you asked, being white (enough) and looking like I could run the arian brotherhood, those types automatically gravitate towards me. I am sure I will hear it all this weekend while I am out among em.

14. My husband would sympathize greatly with you . . .

as someone actually used the "n-word" in a conversation with him right after the election. He was a bit floored that others might think he was somehow "safe" to open up to.

6. People feel the same way about Bush, Cheney, et al. The main difference is

That Bush/Cheney actually DID commit impeachable offenses. Even admitted to doing so.

So your little tantrums about Obama aren't going to be taken seriously by the adults.

19. Yep. Those bastards

lied, and people died. Lots of them. Needlessly.

What Republicans are yelling about now (RE: Obama) doesn't even come close to that in terms of sheer obscenity.

8. Yes, and I wanted the entire Bush cabal in The Hague.

Because they actually committed war crimes and impeachable offenses.

But you can't always get what you want or even what you need.
