Red Sox lead 2-1.

This is a tough series for me to choose a favorite, but I think I am with the Dodgers.

1. Boston deserves a win

after all they accomplished during the regular season. Still, I think Boston hoards sports championships. I can't decide either.

2. I like the old fields. Plus, Dad is Sox fan from way back.

My interest in the Dodgers' is they were the first professional game I watched when we lived in southern California and I played for the Cannon AFB Dodgers' when we lived in New Mexico. They are also one of the oldest teams in the majors which is also something I like despite their having moved to the west coast.

LA ties the game 2-2.

5. That was a nice curveball by Kershaw.

He gets an easy inning with 2 strikeouts and a groundout to first.

Dodgers still trailing by one run after four innings.

6. Lead off walk in top of the fifth. Pitching change.

Cora pulls Sale off the mound. I think prematurely. Barnes replaces him to no avail. Single off Barnes to put two on with no outs for Dodgers.

It is looking like a walk.

11. Big strike out for Dodgers' reliever, Madson.

Will that get the Dodgers a badly needed double play? Nope. Batter safe at first. Runner scores from third.

Boston retakes lead 4-3. Two outs.

15. Dodgers get base hit. One on and one out.

Another hit. Two on with one out. Sox manager buying time for relief pitcher to warm up with visit to mound.

Walk. Bases loaded. One out.

Fly ball scores runner. Two out and I have plenty of sunflower seeds for extra innings.

Sox lead cut to 5-4. New pitcher.

Two strike outs with high heat on either side of intentional walk results in pitching change to end inning. Will the Sox squander this opportunity?

No. Wood serves up three run homer on his second pitch. Sox lead 8-4.
