As a Saints fan

I'm rooting for KC, home field advantage for the Saints. But the Bears are scaring me more than the rams or the chiefs.

1. this has been an uncanny season since that first game vs tampa

it is way too early to worry about home field advantage. i'll be satisfied to win the next game with atlanta.

still 2 games vs carolina, pittsburg, and the cowboys. any or all could easily be losses - result carolina wins division and maybe not even a wild card.

but they do seem to be on a roll. taysom hill is becoming my favorite player. the offensive line is old school, and if they can stay healthy we may well have a few play off games in the super dome.

3. are you a Saints fan?

Who dat? I've been cooking Gumba, jambalaya, and everything New Orleans for every game. Cajun shrimp.

5. shake and bake chicken wings for us

or maybe popeyes now and then.

we have always been saints fans, but this has been an amazing season so far. as i'm sure coach peyton tells the team frequently, "play one game at a time."

7. It is an amazing season

I want this so bad that I can almost taste it. I love conection between coach and qb. I can barely watch in crunch situations. I cover my eyes. I'm so impressed with Brees and his talent, and also his personal life, with no drama.

2. As a Bucs fan

I absolutely hate the Saints with an unbridled passion. But I concede....Drew Brees is the man. Probably better than Brady.

4. he is

And he is likable, unlike Brady. Brees has humility. I think he is at his peak. Playing better than ever.

6. if brees played in hew york or foxboro there would be nothing else in the pre game shows

to talk about. at 39 he is far from washed up.

i was enjoying fitzpatrick's old age as well. he has had a few bad games, but seems to have this game figured out. winston, not so much.

the nfc south is a tough division, with most of their head to head games scheduled in december. tampa could still surprize with a big finish, and carolina is far from out of it. the falcons are always hard to beat.

8. We have the offensive tools to compete with anybody

though the line needs some work. Our D however is absolute trash. I think you're absolutely right about the QB's; Jameis has the athletic ability, but not the decision making skills. To be fair, he's still young and there's potential to develop I don't think he's in the right frame of mind yet. Fitz on the other hand is just happy to have the opportunity. Neither is a long term solution I don't think.

9. no, i expect tampa to be drafting a qb

and an offensive line is essential.

of course the "skill players" get all of the publicity, but anyone can see that the saints' offensive strength starts on the line. nice to have unger in the center.
