Watching American football as it is the International Break so no club football

It seems exceedingly slow and plodding.

2. 60 minutes of so-called playing time, a third of which is taken up with huddles,

extends to at least 2,5 hours of clock time in American football while 90 minutes of playing time in football is accomplished in typical around 95 mins. And you find football “slow and plodding?”

3. 90 minutes of kicking a ball from player to player

With 4 goals total being roughly the average is a yawn fest

10. A 21-7 NFL contest equals 4 goals.

11. And those "goals" are normally a lot more exciting than a ball being kicked into a net

12. Im not defending soccer, but most NFL games are quite boring.

Not all, but most.

13. We are all really just talking about a matter of taste

I am also a huge wrestling fan. Actual wrestling, not WWE style wrestling. Most people find that very boring.

14. I think the Ravens are a MUCH better team than the Dolphins now

all I know is American football and that'll do.

9. Yeah! One of my few living relatives is a cousin who lives outside of Atlanta

When I came back to the States for this gig, I stayed with him for a while. Watched a lot of Atlanta Braves games at the beginning of the season. Better than sleeping pills.

16. I know....

My mom moved to Florida almost 20 years ago. She still loves her Boston Red Sox. When I talk with her on the.phone it’s always “So how about those Red Sox?” She’s 85 and I hate to tell her I don’t give a damn

17. When I lived in Saudi, I had a flatmate from Perth, Australia for about 18 months

During that period, the Ashes took place and Saudi tv showed four hours each evening. It was during the Shane Warne period of Aussie dominance, but I learned all about the game. Even today, I would rather watch cricket than baseball.
