Now playing centerfield at Wrigley...Jonathan Livingstone Seagull...

The Yankees played the Cubs in a day game at Wrigley Field yesterday, which went late into the afternoon since they played thirteen innings. I caught the end of it on replay this morning, the first time that I ever saw a day game broadcast from there.

For several seconds, I thought my tv was malfunctioning because of white flashes on the screen during the CF shots of the batter's box. Then I realized that gulls were flying past the camera, as well as sauntering around the outfield. They didn't seem overly troubled by baseballs flying over their heads.

But why weren't they in the bleachers looking for food?! (I assume that they discourage people from feeding them when they're on the field.)
