Not a bad Champion..if it couldn't be the 24 I can live with Truex...Anybody but the Busch baby

His GF fighting cancer, a small team, the wins on 1&1/2's....a big hat tip to Martin...even in a 'yota.
Nice run young Elliot....all season. In the 24 you were fun to watch...so close so often.
Now I have no one to root for....

1. ''Anybody but the Busch baby''...agree there. Hate the race format...

...hopefully that 3 segment racing crap is gone next year.

I went from Jeff Gordon to Martin Truex Jr. this season.

Woot!!!!!!

3. I know the 24 will have a driver...

I'm not sure to be a car fan or try to readjust... ....I was a Gordon fan from day 1..'93.
I wanted to see Chase Elliot stay in the 24 but I get him going to his Dad's car #

I hate change..I damn near stoked out when Gordon announced his retirement...the only thing that got me weaned off was his fill in for Jr.

4. Same with me following Jeff Gordon. From the beginning as well

I blame Ray Evernham leaving for Jeff’s fall off. Wish that never would have happened. I believe Jeff would have broken the record for championships.

And I too wanted to see Chase do well but Martin filled that gap late last year and now I’m happy to see them do well, overcome so much, and finish the winner.

5. If it weren't for Truex running rice burner cars..I'd pull that trigger of fan club

It was a well deserved Championship.....and it wasn't the M&M Shrub....so
C'mon Daytona....

6. I call him little big ears. Cant stand him either....

Him and his brother, big ears, both suck. Always fun to see them lose.

I like the driver and don’t worry so much about the car manufacture.

I like Team Force in NHRA as well. And they did great this year in funny car and top fuel!!!!

9. I just don't get (car) brand loyalty in NASCAR.

I mean...the number of parts from the manufacturer on the decal is pretty low, from everything I've read about those cars. They're silhouette cars, made by independent race shops.

Not that I mean to imply that's a bad thing. I follow road racing more than oval, including German Touring Car, which is the same thing: silhouette racers with superficial resemblance to the production cars It's great racing.

As a female gearhead, I have to say I really loved Brittany Force's Top Fuel championship.

10. I never have followed a company, its always been the driver.

I would never buy a chevy but I followed Jeff Gordon and I have followed Team Force when they drove fords forever and now chevys.

And as a gearhead, me too! I like Erica Enders-Stevens too. Absolutely enjoyed her two championships in pro stock.

Cheers!
