GOP Bill to Eliminate the EPA is literally one sentence long

https://www.congress.gov/115/bills/hr861/BILLS-115hr861ih.pdf

Republican-backed legislation to eliminate the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is definitely one of the shortest bills Congress has dealt with in a while.

“The Environmental Protection Agency shall terminate on December 31, 2018” is all the bill says regarding EPA’s elimination. The bill’s preamble has more words than its legislative language.

Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz introduced the bill in February. The bill has three Republican cosponsors and has been referred to four House committees.

This is a good thing, The EPA is peopled by Eco-Nazis who don't care about economic fallout as they illegally write LAW. The EPA should advise the Congress and let them decide what Laws to write

8. Yeah let's just rely industry to do the right thing.

Great idea. What could possibly go wrong.

Now let's get onto those pesky financial regulations that have been holding us back. I'm glad trump has stacked his cabinet with those financial types. We can trust them to do what's right. God bless you Donald trump. You really are making America great again. I'm beaming with pride!

9. Have a panel of "experts", pick a mix of disciplines

Have them study the issues, look at the technologies available and report to Congress and let them write actual bills that become actual laws and not Bullshit regulations

11. Uh, yeah. Just what they have in mind I'm sure.

I trust a party that is bought and paid for by big business to do the right thing, don't you? The more I think about it the prouder I am becoming! Oh say can you see. I'm just breaking out in patriotic song, I'm feeling so good about the future I can't contain myself!

I do appreciate the fact that you used a very nice graphic, that aperently was created by a liberal governmental entity, to bolster your point.

12. I hate to be a Dick, I really do

But you might notice that the people currently in charge don't have to get anyone's permission to do what they feel needs to be done

In fact they aren't asking

3. Sweet. But I think the republicans should put forth bills like Nancy:

"We have to pass the bill to see what is in he bill".

I say shut out democrats entirely. We don't need them for anything, nothing, zilch....they are politically powerless.

6. The EPA was mandating fuel additives that don't exist!

The Oil companies were saying they couldn't comply and the Eco-Nazis were telling them to shut down production for non compliance!

23. This actually happened in an e-mail exchange (short version since I don't have much time)

Obama administration: You must double the gas mileage on your cars.

Auto industry: It can't be done. It violates the laws of nature

Obama Administration: Who wrote these laws?

5. congress delegated those powers to the epa because

they did not want to be bothered by parts per million.

industry has a yuuuuuuge input into the regulations, which are easily avoided and minimally enforced.

no state can maintain environmental quality; only ca tries. the cost of 50 laboratories which various levels of accuracy, well, when i was younger the great lakes were toxic and lake erie was literally burning. pure capitalism is incapable of slowing down pollution.

Who needs clean water?

Pssst. That's what happens when you don't have regulations. Don't expect industry to police itself.
