1. here is a photo you should run with your current hydrogen obsession .......

i have serious reservations about use of hydrogen cells in consumer applications, but i'm not convinced that the dangers involved in recharging batteries have been considered.

near term : internal combustion engines with increasingly strict efficiency and emissions standards.

"1. here is a photo you should run with your current hydrogen obsession ......."

...is the one with the ''hydrogen obsession" here.

You're welcome!

ofl has posted several times on this subject recently. you may refer to his journal or search for "oflguy hydrogen" for details

9. I would just like to know how Aquila's hydrogen-powered car is doing

We all know he has one, or at least he must, since he loves them so much.

16. ''an impetuous insult''...why, because I questioned you for whining about the wrong person here???

Seriously, you're bitching about oflguy having "posted several times on this subject" while aquila has posted here dozens of times in the last month or so and always seems to run away discussing her topic?

"you may refer to his journal or search for "oflguy hydrogen" for details"...had you bothered to do that on aquila you would realize how silly your complaints about oflguy is.........

8. yea, now imagine something as simple as a bad o-ring,

pulling your magic fairy energy vehicle into the garage and a compressed canister of this leaking and slowly filling your garage with hydrogen. Then imagine pressing the button to open the garage door...
This would be enough energy release to level your house.
Now factor in Joe the DIY mechanic stuff.
And if anyone truly believes this would somehow be an extremely rare event, they are kidding themselves.
Valves go bad, seals go bad, and people work on their own cars because they can't afford 150 bucks an hour for labor.
Yea... not only would I not want this shit in MY garage, It would even be somewhat unsettling knowing my neighbor had a canister of this shit in his car.
Youtube would be littered with videos of the carnage within a year

10. Imagine this kind of leak in your garage, filling up your garage with hydrogen

and then your hot water heater pilot light ignites the burner.

A woman cleaning her garage floor with a combustible fluid burned herself to death years ago this way, about two blocks from my house. But she only had a brief flash in her garage, not an explosion.

13. It won't slowly fill your garage.

It will rise and dissipate.
It would have to be a very fast leak in a smaller garage and ignited fairly quickly before it rises and escapes.

like from a hot water heater?

Like the way my neighbor burned herself to death?

21. Before the hydrogen dissipates.

It will cloud towards the top and dissipate out.
If there is no ignition source while the concentration is high enough, no explosion or burn off.

If you are really worried.

30. Or get an electric heater.

Even better yet, a hydrogen burning water heater.

Chances are, with the water heater pilot, it won't ignite hydrogen clouds on the ceiling anyway. Or will it?

Hot water heater? Why do you need to heat hot water?

11. Got an estimate to change the spark plugs in my Excursion - $495.00!!!! for SPARK PLUGS

Granted there are 10 but "COME ON"!!! Ordered a set off Amazon (OEM Motorcraft that the mechanic said cost $11.00 each) for around $35.00 total. I'll do it myself, but it is NOT a fun job.

12. A slow leak will dissipate.

Hydrogen is 18 times lighter than air.
It will rise and find a way out before the concentration gets to a dangerous level.
It won't "slowly fill your garage" like say propane or gasoline vapor.
Gasoline leaks are far more dangerous.

Figuring you meant a slow leak, I didn't see you posted a video and thought you were referring to mumblypegs slow reference.

He said "slowly filling up".
So I didn't even mention you in that reply.
