Can we please be more like them? Please? PLEASE? I want to be more like them! PLEASE?

"When we take over all three branches can we please go metric?

I mean, really.

Vacationed in Canada this past month and there are SO many things they laugh at us about."

I just want to be able to say kilometers per hour instead of miles per hour... it sounds so, European. They LAUGH at us in Canada, and I HATE it!

Please? Can't we be more like them?

4. Easy on that one, Canada lost a larger % of their troops in WWII than we did.

Their Military services also made up a larger percentage of their population than we did.

They have served in combat and died for their freedom as well.

I am not Canadian and will never live there but we need to stick to the facts in our exchanges or we are no better than the liberal liars in here.

6. They are under our umbrella of protection in North America. That is to our advantage too.

I have served with some of them and found that they always accomplish the missions they are sent to take care of.

In the latest conflicts Canadian snipers held the distance record for kills for a while, the Brits own it right now. That would not have been possible if they had not been there, at our side, doing their jobs.

7. I agree it serves our purpose but again without us

They’d be in trouble and no one is saying they don’t have fighting spirit

8. now we are getting into the classified area of which of our friends have our nuclear weapons.

Which of our friends we trust to the level of having total custody of our nuclear weapons, the aircraft or boats able to deliver them, and the launch end codes that will cause the launch of the weapons or weapons deliver systems to bring about weapons on target.

You just may have a thought or two about our northern flank and realize that all missiles and aircraft have a limited range over hostile areas. The farther north they originate the further over the pole they can strike.

It is kind of an extension of why all of our MM-III silos are located in the very northern states or our nation.

12. I don't begrudge Canadians laughing at us about the metric system.

Hell, most Americans laugh at Canadians as a general rule.

Eh?
