1. I don't get it

one could do the same thing with paraffin wax or other similar substances.
Maybe I'm missing something

2. I'm under the impression a couple of things

One is that it does not change the feel or texture of anything it is applied to, and two it is permanent.

As an example I have a horrible habit of dribbling coffee on myself. I could put this on my clothes and not only never have another coffee stain, but they would remain as comfortable, flexible, and soft as before. I've seen some other video of squirting ketchup directly at a shirt and it just falls directly off.
