2. hmmm, i did not use our first beta machine

i do remember taking a $400 loan to pay for it, and that it disappeared in the divorce.

the 1st mrs rampart used it to record "her story" (general hospital) so i guess 1 hour was enough. we did rent movies so i don't think run time was a problem.

by the time i bought another it was vhs and the price was closer to $100 (paif in cash). the current mrs rampart used it to record "her story" (the young and restless). some things never change.

the technical specs on the beta were better, but i can't tell picture quality anyway.

4. I had a 1986 Toyota Celica back in the early 90's with AM Stereo.

There was (still is really, just a different format) station on 540 AM out of Canonsburg, PA that broadcast a lot of classical music. It sounded amazing in the car.

They were interesting. A good chunk of their broadcast day relayed English Language shortwave broadcasts.
