RADIWOW DX - 1110 WBT Charlotte N.C. heard in Erie Pa

No external antenna.

568 miles, my conditions overcast and rain.

Not bad for a $50 radio the size of a card deck.

And what amazes me is hardly any hiss or static.

My RF-2200 Panasonic is being restored right now.

1. Yet after 6 pm

You can not pic them up 20 miles west of CLT. The operate a FM station 99.3 to simultaneously transmit for local use. The hafe 3 antennas so wbt can shape there signal up and down the east cost but at the expense of east and west.

3. Interesting!

I believe KDKA in Pittsburgh does something similar.

They hear them east and west very well, but only 200 miles North they are weak!
