4. That's what I get, but some people say the answer is 1.
The MyScript Calculator on my iPad gives 16 as the answer as well.

6. 1 is correct. here's why:
8 / 2(2+2)
the 8/2 is not in parenthesis. So the equation boils down to: 2(2+2) = 8 8/8 |

without parenthesis, you go left to right...

2 times the quantity 2+2. Distribute the coefficient (2) over the quantity 2+2.
(2*2) +(2*2) 4+4 =8. 8/8=1. |

Parentheses first 2+2=4
Multiplication next 2(4) =8 Division next 8/8 =1 My first go round was 8 but then I remembered the rules. |
