Does anyone have a Roomba?

We're seriously considering one, but I have a question:

How do you handle multiple floors?

1. We pick it up and move it

But ours is about 10 years old. Maybe the new ones can climb stairs. The Roomba prefers regularly shaped, unobstructed spaces. It doesn't have huge suckage and it only holds about a pint of dirt. You have to limit potential obstructions. If there's a corner or a chair to get stuck under it will. It cleans by going over and over an area. That said, we use ours almost every day. If you have pets or heavy foot traffic you'll still have to run the Hoover from time to time. Cats seem to be fascinated by Roombas but my dog couldn't care less. He generally sleeps on the couch anyway.

As you can tell from my answer, I have way too much time on my hands. Thanks, Roomba.

2. You build it an elevator.

Seriously, I can't believe you asked this question... you always

seemed so level headed.

3. Yep, works but its a bit frustrating

We have a dog that sheds, so we have to empty the dustbin 2-3 times before the main living area is done. We also have to have the dog kenneled, as he hates vacuums of all sorts. You also may need extra fences to limit the area it works, if you have an open floor plan.

7. My ex has a 1st gen Roomba

Wasn’t all that impressed by it at the time. They have come a long way since.

I have watched several utube vids on these, I suggest you do the same. I’m more with the floor mapping systems rather than the hit or miss tech.
