I finally figured out how to decode Weather Fax transmissions

I finally managed to figure out how to decode Weather Fax with this SDR radio and Multipsk.

This is pretty cool. Part of a chart from the North American Ice Service showing the current iceberg limit.

2. OK...

There are a couple of us radio geeks on here so perhaps I was a bit more concise than I should have been. I apologize.

I have an SDR (Software Defined Radio). It's basically a USB stick that is tuned via software. I've been obsessing over figuring out how to decode weatherfax and radio teletype transmissions over short wave. This partial chart is transmitted over 9110 khz for ships as a navigation aid. Basically what they are trying to do is prevent another Titanic.

5. Never tried WeFax

I did do some SSTV back in the day, but not in 25 years or so. I may have to give WeFax a try. I imagine there are many free programs that will process the audio off of a sound card?

6. Try Multipsk

It has the most atrocious GUI but it decodes just about everything.
