1. I no longer pay any attention to these types of studies.

During my life time I've seen studies say

Coffee bad/good
Grilling bad/good
Fat bad/good
Carbs bad/good
eggs bad/good
2nd hand smoke bad/good
etc etc etc

6. I don't know who the Hell would have ever said 2nd hand smoke was "good"

..but given all the Koch funded climate change denial stuff you post, I'll take you at your word that you read it somewhere.

8. Maybe not

"good/not good", but more like "harmful/not harmful"

I remember back when it was judged "not harmful" and people used that as an excuse to smoke around people who didn't like cigarettes.

Harmful or not harmful....what makes smokers think that non-smokers want to smell like filthy stinking ashtrays?

14. I quit three years ago, so I got no skin in this

However "I don't like the smell" is not really a valid reason to try and ban things. I despise the smell of fish, sweet potatoes, and liver. They bring me to the edge of vomiting. I would never dream of demanding they not be in my presence. My dislike is not a reason to demand you modify your behavior.

2. I wish these "experts" would make up their minds!

Edit: what about eggs? Are eggs healthy again?

3. Processed foods probably have nothing to do with it.

Long time ago my wife and I agreed that cows milk is only good for baby cows.

Cheese, OTOH, is absolutely awesome.

Regardless of source.

5. Well that's fucking ridiculous isn't it?

Because most of the ways dairy products are usually consumed involve potatoes and cereals, right?

Milk on cereal, butter and/or sour cream on a baked potato, etc.

I guess cheese and ice cream are still good?

13. After I had chocolate fudge garlic ice cream at a garlic festival a few years back...

....I was fairly certain that very few ice cream flavors were unthinkable. Having said that, I'm not sure I would be a big fan of the cheddar ice cream. Might work well with the apple pie, but not sure what else you could pair it with.
