Doing low/zero carb? Miss bread, crackers, etc? Here's a great little substitute.

Get some freezer paper, NOT wax paper. Take Process American Cheese, the individually wrapped kind, like Kraft Singles. Put the cheese on the paper, shiny side up. Put in the microwave at full power for about a minute and a half. Afterwards put it in the freezer for about 30 seconds. Take out and peel the slices off. Voila! You now have what amounts to giant Cheeze-It's. They are crunchy and firm enough you can actually spread things on them, or use them for sandwiches.

4. Some other low carb substitutes

* Mashed potatoes replacement: instead of mashed potatoes make mashed cauliflower. Add a cheese sauce if you want.

* Use lettuce leaves for sandwiches instead of bread. Make it a lettuce wrap.

* Bread replacement: Sugarless and low carb, the Flatout Flatbread brand uses 100% stone ground whole wheat that’s low in calories. Each serving has only 90 calories and has fewer carbs than regular bread given their substantial size. Moreover, they are high in fiber, providing you with over a third of your recommended daily fiber intake. They make great wraps and have no bad aftertaste.

* French fries replacement: Jicama fries https://lowcarbyum.com/jicama-fries/

* something sweet: ReddiWhip with blackberries or blueberries

* baked parmesan cheese brussel sprouts: https://ketogasm.com/low-carb-parmesan-crusted-brussels-sprouts-recipe/
