2. Enjoy!

I don't drink hard liquor very often, but I do enjoy Crown Royal, Gin or Rum on special occasions.

5. Assorted IPAs from Seirra Nevada.

My wife picked them up for me a lil while ago and they've been cooling in our mini fridge for about a month. I may regret it tomorrow but they're tasty. Mixing the IPAs tends to give me a bit of a headache in the morning, usually I stick to vodka and water. But I'm binge watching Shameless and damn if all that boozing isn't sending me a clear message....beer is great!

13. Molson Ex is an ale too.

I almost got a box of Alexander Keith's India Pale Ale instead, but they had a deal on the Molson, tastes pretty much the same.

21. It's the rye content in the mash

High rye content has always been the signature of Tom Bulleit's distinctive bourbon. It was only a matter of time before he created a rye whiskey. Bulleit Rye is an award-winning, small batch, straight rye whiskey with a character of unparalleled spice and complexity.

Released in 2011, it continues to enjoy recognition as one of the highest quality ryes available. Russet in color, with rich oaky aromas. The flavor is notably smooth, with hints of vanilla, honey, and spice. Finishes crisp and clean, with long, lingering flavors.

90 proof (45% ABV) • 95% rye, 5% malted barley

https://www.bulleit.com/whiskeys/

I usually sip single malt scotch or Kentucky bourbon whiskey, but decided to try a bottle of this just to be different.

I have a friend from Iowa and he calls liquor bottles stuff like 5ths and quarts.. fucks me all up.. lol

26. Ohhh, the good stuff ! I would splash a little luke warm H20.

Oddly, enough never had probs w/ hangovers.

Rye Whiskey has higher proof but can leave you dehydrated, so have water, lemonade or juice near bye & only imbibe if you have place to crash in house overnight.

Never attempt to drive and safest to stay inside residence.

Try drinking 750 ml for most night's & get back to me in 1/2 decade !

Your desire to ever drink again dissipates totally !

11. Had to quit, but not before turning OK from dry state into ocean !

I do miss beer the most ... though Canadian Whisky was my choice.

So now I just smoke the good stuff

BTW, I like the guitar hooked up through the powered mixer ! Nice.

18. Well, at least you still enjoy some form of mental augmentation..

Yeah, that's an old Yamaha EM200 mixer from like 1977 my friend gave me, the guitar isn't patched into it though, it runs to my amp, I'll fuck the original speakers up if I go direct, or so I've been told.. Not taking the chance.. shit is 40 years old.

28. You probably already know, you have to match ohm resisistance w/ powered mixer.

Turn up master volume only a 1/4 of turn, gently. Don't allow amplifier from mixer to get too hot b/c it will cause clipping. Use high impedance good quality speaker wires.

Had my cabinets custom built for band PA from guy who built radio stations in Arkansas back in the day.

Had to cut cabinets in half b/c they were too unwieldly, built as big as refrigerators. Designed for Beatles & Reggae Music !!!

Then I got to be middle-aged & mom moved in ... there goes another glorious bachelorhood .

35. I've done it and it sounds good

but there really isn't a need for it since I use my amp and pedals.
The speakers have a built in crossover and shit, can adjust it in back where you plug it in but no use to use it for that. They are big too.

It's old and I don't wanna fuck up original parts because I forgot to do something.

Those aren't mine, but it's easier than taking a pic and uploading and all that shit..

I stopped for about 3 months last fall, started again around Christmas, but limit it now to weekends or the occasional weekday, depends on what I'm doing or who I'm with.

For some reason, I feel like I sound very pretentious when I order water without ice and I always want to apologize for any trouble.

when I was in college in upstate NY up on the Canadian border (Potsdam, NY).

And I also remember a Moosehead Lager.

25. Yes, Moosehead "Green"

That's not the name of it, Moosehead Lager is correct, but that's what we call it.
It's a good beer, Export is too.
They exported Moosehead Lager to to other provinces but not any of their other brands for a long time.
Alpine, my favorite beer is made at the Moosehead Brewery and they only started exporting that a few years ago and I don't even know if they continued. The Alpine I drink now is made in Quebec under supervision from Moosehead and it's just as good as the original.

27. I spent many a weekend in Montreal

back in the late 60's. (Mostly on St Catherines street!) Montreal was the nearest city of any size to my college and we would drive up there (a little over an hour) on Friday nights. Our national fraternity had a chapter house at McGill University and we would crash there in their living room after a night on the street.

Our senior ball upon graduation was held at the Chateau Laurier Hotel in Ottawa in 1970. We had a private train to take us from Cornwall and back. Our guest of honor at the graduation ball was one Pierre Trudeau, and his then girlfriend, Barbara Streisand. We didn't know at the time how significant that was.

Those were the days!

30. hah.. Sounds like fun for sure..

My daughter goes to McGill. If you ever want to see a recent pic of something you remember back then or some shit, let me know.. heheh
I haven't been to Ottawa in a while, but I lived there for a year after high school. You have a few years on me, when you were partying with Trudeau and Streisand, I was in elementary school.
The Chateau is an awesome building.
Cornwall, my uncle had a cottage on one of the islands on the river, used to go hang out there on family vacations to Ontario.
