No, must have Tabasco.

Maybe but must have at least a 'hot sauce' of some sort.

Horseradish all the way.
2 (29%)
Of course silly, vodka with any tomato juice fits the bill.

Alerting. "Bloody Mary" is sexist.

1. Yes. Of course. There are many equivalents to Tabasco available anymore.

Tabasco is merely a trade mark. So it wouldn't surprise me at all their marketers have published a recipe calling for that exclusively.

2. Unique taste that Tabasco and my preference but I moved out of a DC hotel when

on assignment there because it was all they would serve was 'Mary's with horseradish. Bartender was a real cunt anyway...

Mind you, I love the stuff and grow my own but never in my B. Mary...

3. So you take a bunch of things together that taste horrible separately

And expect them to taste good together?

5. i don't measure

tomato juice
vodka
dash tabasco
dash worchester
dash angostura bitters
celery salt
secret ingredient (tony cachere's cajun seasoning. i used to use red, black, and white ground pepper)
shake gently and garnish with celery stalk (or maybe a pickled string bean or a pickled okra)

price depends on vodka brand (i like absolute, but doesn't really matter)
have served thousands with no complaint
