It's snowing!!!

The kroger is out of milk. All of North alabama is shut down. It was 60 degrees this morning, and is now 31 degrees... *maybe* the snow will stick....big, fat flakes!

1. Thats funny. Enjoy the snow!

We just hit 60 today in upstate NY. This is after insane amounts of snow & low temps.

All that snow melted and it’s a muddy flooded mess. Luckily we have a severe winter storm incoming tonight!

2. Ooo... Your descriptors hurt my PC ears. Next time try something like minimally challenged

Clumps of ice crystals.

5. That's supposed to start here about 9.

I suspect it will be sooner. I got the few things we needed yesterday, before the craziness started. I will say, however, the liquor store was pretty busy for an afternoon.

8. Seems that whenever ice and snow are predicted in the south

everyone runs to the stores and depletes the milk and bread sections... are they making milk sandwiches?

9. You take care down there

I know in your neck of the woods this is cause for panic.

I couldn't care less about the snow. Four inches, four feet, it's all the same. Just dig in and wait it out. Ice, on the other hand, is grounds for concern. Ice is impossible to drive on, and causes power outages that last for days. I've got a quarter inch on the ground now and I'm hoping it changes to snow soon. It's down to 28 so I expect the transition any time now.

It's really bad about 5 miles from here. A local creek flooded due to the earlier warm weather and I have the scanner on. They are in boats in this crap going house to house rescuing people as I type this.
