It's never easy when your mother passes.

My mother passed away a week ago, Dec. 6th after a lengthy illness. Her health had been precarious for a few years, and the last year and a half were particularly hard for her. Watching her get more and more frail, frustrated because she couldn't do most the things she used to enjoy just broke my heart to see. She lived nearly 90 years, a long life and a good life as a good person. I knew for some time that she could pass at any time, but when that time actually comes, it still hits like a ton of bricks.

The wonder of a human life.

We are here only briefly, to grow and leave our unique signature, writ small or maybe sometimes large, on the world and people around us. When we walk on, we close that circle, to make it complete. The ephemeral nature of our earthly existence is an essential part of what makes a life well lived a beautiful thing.

Fleeting, transitory, it is as it should be.

I miss you already, Bi'i.

Thank you for giving me life

5. I lost my mom when I was 18, 40 years ago on 18th of November

Rarely a day goes by that I don’t think of her. I’m happy for you and your mom that you both had all that time together and envious as well. It hurts, no matter when it happens. Time eventually heals most of the hurt but never quite all of it.

Keep her in your heart and thoughts and she is never really complelely gone.

8. My FIL passed at the beginning of November

I have been married 25 years -- I loved that man more than my own father.

He died at 94 when getting ready to go to work (he was self-employed).

My sincere condolences. I lost my mom years ago and still grieve.

I know this is of little help, but time helps but never erases the mourning.

You and your family are in my prayers.

11. One blessing for her...

...out of many in her long life is that she was in full possession of her faculties, sharp as a tack until the end.
