No more controlled substances for Mrs. def_con

Here's a quick update on my wife, she broke her hip shortly before Christmas. She was finally able to get a 10 day supply of controlled substances from her regular doctor, and a referral to a specialist.

With the holidays and all, she wasn't able to get an appointment till the 11th of January, gonna be out of pain meds. So she called her doctor on Friday and asked for an additional 4 days till she could see the other doctor. Sorry no meds, he is not treating her for any condition. Her current doctor suggested she contact the new doctor and get a script.

So she did, sorry no controlled substances without an exam which is scheduled for the 11th. No meds for you.

Back to urgent care, no controlled substances. She was told to see her regular doctor.

She was able to talk them into a steroid. Hope it will work

3. Yes the war on law abiding citizens continue , because it saves a life.

Your poor wife, I understand she probably feels embarrassed to be asking for pain meds at this point. Hopefully, she won't have to resort to using street drugs like so many others are forced to do now.

4. So our wonderful government in all its wisdom has made it extremely difficult ...

for those in real pain to obtain pain meds.

I understand that physicians should not pass out pain meds like candy but surely somebody with a broken hip should be able to obtain them without having to jump through a gauntlet of hoops. That to me is simply common sense.

5. If you lived in a Dem controlled city you could probably buy them on the street

without fear of arrest.
