So I did this today

http://cottonrowrun.com/

This will be my third time to run in it....

My time is getting faster, my Blood pressure is getting fantastic...All I have to do is lose a little more weight and we can do a trial run of no BP med.....

Don't laugh...my goal is 45 minutes....My friend Jeremy has a son who can run a 5k in about 14-15 minutes, maybe a tiny bit faster...He can finish a 5K before I'm done with one mile....lol

Anyway, y'all have a great day!!

1. Woot!

I gotta motivate myself to get out and walk, at least. I'll be 55 in the fall and need to move around more.

Congrats on the 5K and the positive BP news!

2. Thanks! I'm running one in March as well...The 3M 5K in Decatur, AL

It's an easier course at Point Mallard park...The Cotton Row is brutal...It's always hot and it's down town...Mile 2 has a 5 degree uphill incline for about 2-3 tenths of a mile.

I'm excited!

Edit: What helped me is that I joined a gym...

12. I like running when something or someone is chasing me

Other than that, not so much.

4. Great job!

Back in my younger days, I ran some 1/2-marathons, but the ol' knees won't let me now.

Have a great run!

9. I'm not very good at them,,,,I'm just determined... hahaha

The first one I ran in was back in 2012...There was this little old man in front of me that had a shirt that said "y'all laughed at me, but I'm ahead of you" or something like that...it was funny....

I'll get passed by the 75 year old mall walkers too...Those little ladies are fast!
