Chinese investors are ploughing in the millions as they attempt to completely clone the iconic White Star Liner that sunk in 1912.

RMS Titanic vanished beneath the waves on her maiden voyage after crashing into an iceberg in the Atlantic.

She took down more than 1,500 souls as she sailed from Southampton to New York.

Seven Star Energy Investment and Wuchang Shipbuilding have teamed up to bankroll and build the new vessel.

Aerial photographs have now emerged of the incredible construction – which is said to be an exact replica of the Titanic.

2. There were no waves in the water when Titanic sank

The water was as smooth as glass, which is one reason the iceberg was hard to determine from the lookout.
