1. I used to do it the old fashioned way....in a hot skillet.

Freshly roasted coffee is luscious.

Freshly roasted coffee is the best - that's why I decided to start roasting it myself.
It's something I enjoy every single morning so I decided to get the freshest by roasting it myself!

2. I just did this about 3 weeks ago using the old wok method.

I hear a popcorn hot air popper works well too.

4. Yes, I did look into that.

But the engineer in me wanted something with more metrics, control-ability, and repeat-ability.
Even basic programmable roasters were more than I wanted to spend at this time so I went with the Fresh Roast SR500, my recording temperature meter, and some open source roasting software.
