2. Uh, there's still 16 federal charges.

Although Barry and Moochelle might have some weight with the feds too. I dunno.

3. Not quite true

although in time, it might be. His attorney negotiated a deferred prosecution deal or as we call it around here peanut butter and jelly (Probation before Judgement).

The charges aren't dropped they are place on the inactive docket. He has to comply with the terms of the probation (I have not seen the details). If he violates the terms, he's right back where he started. At the end of the probation, the charges are dropped, and the arrest expunged.

Not an usual result for a first time non violent offender. Getting a felony conviction really screws your life up.

4. Judge sealed the case

We'll never know the terms of the deal.

State attorney issued a brief statement, due to his actions in helping the community they were satisfied with the outcome.

That's all, folks.

6. Lefties will surely demand to see all the case details since they know that innocent people don't...

....“After reviewing all of the facts and circumstances of the case, including Mr. Smollett’s volunteer service in the community and agreement to forfeit his bond to the City of Chicago, we believe this outcome is a just disposition and appropriate resolution to this case,” the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office stated in an email.......

....forfeit their bond nor volunteer to do community service.

Yep, any time now lefties will be demanding to see all the case details............

9. Unfortunately...

we'll probably never know unless/until that report gets released to the public. But Barr, partisan hack that he is, may not release it, even to House Republicans. Something that good should be something he'd be happy to share. One would think...

But anyway, interesting turn of events on tRump's end, All this time he's been putting Mueller down. Now, when asked, he says Mueller acted in an honorable manner.

8. Actually

You can expect some serious federal charges about to come down on a certain judge and attorney.

10. Mr. Rampartb

100% correct, initial press reports were wrong.

No deferred prosecution deal, no probation. The state attorney asked the judge to drop all charges. The end.

13. Smollet was hit with chargeable offenses. No collusion was found.

See the difference?
