Lucid Dreaming

I know everyone must have lucid events while dreaming but man i'm telling you when last i slept it was so vivid I was actually questioning people knowing I was dreaming like asking their names and they couldn't give me them since I hadn't known theirs lol. It was a trip.

Well anyone have a lucid dream they want to share? I'm at work and bored

1. I have vivid technicolor epic dreams

With plots and characters that are often more interesting than my real life

2. If you want to have REALLY vivd horrifying nightmares then I recommend taking mefloquine

It's an anti-malarial drug I took when visiting remote parts of Asia.

For weeks while travelling I would often wake up from my worst nightmares ever with the sheets absolutely soaked in sweat. I couldn't figure out what the heck was causing the nightmares until I was chit-chatting with someone I met who worked at a pharmacy who told me that it's known to be psychotropic. I was "lucky" in that it just gave me some bad nightmares for a few weeks but some people get really whacked out by it - paramoia, violence, suicide.

You know how you wake up from a nightmare just before you're about to die or whatever? These nightmares would go through four or five of those stages without me waking up and were incredibly intense.

After two or three weeks my brain adjusted and the nightmares went away but I'll never forgot how intense those nightmares were.

3. Having worked in Africa.....

....I was prescribed Malarone, which I think is the same thing and it did the exact same thing to me. Just awful dreams with me waking up sweating and freaked out. In addition, I felt like I had the flu for a week or so and it just left me foggy and disconnected. I stopped taking it and just instead used lots of OFF wipes a couple of times a day to keep the mosquitoes at bay.

On subsequent trips, I declined the Malarone scrip and just used the above mentioned method and fared just fine. I'd rather smell like insecticide than feel like absolute shit and have awful nightmares.

Stuff is really bad for your liver too.

6. No nightmares except for the occasional driving off a cliff in my truck

I’m sure there’s meaning behind that one lol it was far more cool than anything knowing you can consciously change a dream

9. I used to have the most vivid dreams,

where If I ran just right, and positioned my surfboard just so, I could surf in the air.
I had to do it just right, or like missing a wave, I would miss the "air wave" and settle to the ground.
Otherwise, it felt just like surfing a wave.
I could turn, rise, and cut around obstacles.
As usual, when I realized I was dreaming, I would wake up.

Bummer.

10. I dont remember most of my dreams

But my husband says that I talk in my sleep. I will sit up and have a conversation with him. He says my eyes are open and everything. He says the only way he knows I’m asleep is because my conversation is ridiculous. It freaks him out but you’d think he was used to it after 22 years.
