Can we get a build thread going?

There's more things to life than screaming at one another over politics. Does or has anybody here built anything? Would anybody here like to build stuff? In January of 2013 my fiance's and my home suffered a major fire. Before this day I was lucky I could nail two boards together, but with limited insurance funds available I learned real fast! Although a contractor did our framing, wiring and plumbing, we did every other single thing in the house, from the walls to the flooring, to the hardwood paneling to the tile, stonework, and hardwood flooring.

So my question is would anyone like to discuss any of their projects, or perhaps I could help with any questions that anyone may have. Show us what you've made!!!

5. Wow, outstanding job of rebuilding!

Thank you so much for sharing those pictures. Your home looks wonderfully comfortable and cozy.

We have ongoing projects on our little two acres that include a rain barrel system, a solar shower, and a greenhouse. Here's the links:

7. Awesome pics from all on this thread

I am a landlord so I am constantly rebuilding what my tenants destroy, nothing pic worth at this point though. My father and I do some cabinetry in our spare time, of which I currently have none and he has tons (he's very very retired)...
