I FOUND MY HANDS!

A couple months ago, as part of my practice of meditation and Chinese internal arts, I began keeping a dream journal.

The idea is to write dreams down immediately upon awakening. (5-HTP helps remembering them too.)

The purpose is to develop a rapport with your subconscious, and encourage it to communicate with you in situations as intuition.

One of the steps is to try and find your hands when dreaming. You try to hold your hands before you and seeing them, realize you are dreaming. This is the first step toward lucidity and astral travel.

I dreamt I was in an old alley lined with doors. An older woman in an open door handed me a wooden staff, made of rough wood, rounded at the top.

She directed me to knock with it on a door across the alley.

A bearded man answered, and placed a glass bowl in my hand, full of water and tiny fish. I thanked him, leaned the staff against the wall, and gazed into the bowl as I cradled it - looking through the water and glass at both of my hands.

5. I always seem to dream about flying in my airplane

Either by myself, or in formation with my buddies.
Although I will admit that sometimes I dream about being able to fly without my airplane (sort of like Superman or Ironman)...
I never had a problem wondering where my hands were though, they were either on my control stick or acting like the propulsion (Ironman).

11. IIRC

Flying in dreams is one of the highest forms of Shamanism.

You are naturally gifted!

16. WW, I will defend your right to hold to this new age -age old shamanism.

But the God who created you and redeemed you and loves you intimately calls it demonism.

I would encourage you to meditate on this:

Proverbs 3:5-6 King James Version (KJV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

20. He sure did!

He started very Godly- plumbed the depths of pagan beliefs and godlessness and at teh end concluded with this:

Eccl. 12:

Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

So glad you are back You are a bright ray of sunshine in what at times are very cloudy days here!~

6. Hey WW ! You were missed sorely by most here during you're password limbo hiatus.

BTW, I possess that very staff. Seriously. Carved out of one piece of wood w/ a large natural wooden knob, carved from same wood, to grip & hold on to. Beautifully dark-stained made out of a strong hard wood. Oak, I believe.

Have to get photo to send for loan company, may send photo of staff in next day or two.

I really enjoyed C.G Jung's book 'The Alchemy of Dreams' as a kid in college.

Glad you found your hands !

Beware the reoccurring dreams ... they always portend 'something'.

7. "Beware the reoccurring dreams ... they always portend 'something'." Bowl of fish... hands...

… Avoid eating fish for a few days, someone earning minimum wage failed to wash their hands while packing/preparing pisces product...

13. If you have not, you should read Jung's seminal work

“Archetypes and the Collective Unconsciousness.” Much of the “New Wave” sci-fi of the ‘60s was based on Jungian psychology.
