3. Sounds good to me. All churches should be taxed just like everyone else

But churches that violate the law that is the basis of their exemption by participating in politics should definitely be taxed.

4. Most liberal churches would be taxed then!

Conservative pastors for the most part in their pulpits speak on issues not persons. That is most definitely allowed.

But I have no problem with churches paying taxes like any business.

One less thing for the godless to complain about and Jesus even said we should render unto Cesar!

Then conservative preachers could have candidates in their churches liek the liberal preachers do!

5. That's what I understood the law to be. The ELCA should be taxed. It's gone political.
