TV Show: Hap & Leonard

This is a great lil series on from Sundance, currently on Netflix.

Michael Kenneth Williamsas Leonard Pine, a gay (relax,'s no big deal) black Vietnam vet with serious anger issues

James Purefoy as Hap Collins, a white working class laborer who spent time in federal prison as a young man for refusing to be drafted into the military and serve in the Vietnam War

Williamsas (great in Boardwalk Empire) and Purefoy (great in The Expanse) have fantastic chemistry and really bring the closeness of their friendship to life in a realistic way with few words.

Set in the 80s. They get sucked into a plan to retrieve stolen money from a river. And shit ensues. What out for Pollyanna McIntosh as Angel. Who's also currently in the latest season of The Walking Dead. She's a deadly vixen in leather. Va. Va. Voom, fellas..

Season two just started. Check it out.

1. Yeah it's a good little show

I'm halfway thru season one, I got side tracked and never watched it again. Thanks for the tip about season two.

The show is set in East TX, but filmed across the river in Louisanna. LA offers better tax exemptions than TX. Regardless both sides of the Sabine look the same.

Williams was a badass on The Wire. If you haven't seen it, it's a must see TV drama.
