2. I think I still have some paisley ties. Not from that era though.

3. So, there's a whole generation

(or two) out there that will think, "Nahhhhh...they didn't really dress like that, did they?"

Oh yes...yes we did.

I had a pair of fur hiphugger pants. Striped jeans. Hot pants (purple). Platform shoes. Miniskirts and mini-dresses that were shorter than some shirts and tunics are today.

We wore the love beads and the headbands and the big ol' black leather belts and bell bottom pants

We girls wore the death-white lipstick and we ironed our hair on mom's ironing board to get the Cher straight hair look. Sometimes if we wanted a bit of curl on the ends we used empty orange juice cans with Dippity-do hair gel.

It was all so gloriously ugly back then and I miss it...

6. Agent 99 hitchhiked to Haight-Ashbury from New York.

I think she was 19. One of several friends who accompanied her blew some of their money on drugs he tried to resell leaving them in a bit of trouble.

She saw quite a few of the biggest names in music at the time too.

She likes to think of herself as a flower child, but in my opinion she is a little too buttoned up for moniker to truly apply although she still has an eclectic taste in clothing.

She reached a point on the subsequent dating scene that the first thing she wanted to know about potential boyfriends was whether they were employed full-time, with insurance. Too many deadbeats will do that. And that is when I more or less stepped in.

7. Oh, my eyes! Please God, make it stop!

What is that guy wearing in the top photo, on the left? It looks like someone knitted a mini dress for him.
