3. I've seen four "cold-cats". All resulted in LOA, and all aircrews were recovered without injury.

I was on deck for all four.

4. From what I have read, maintenance on steam catapults is a major issue

If this tech works, it will perform better and be lower cost. Navy has been working on it for quite some time.
