The real War on Christmas

Picture the following scenario. Crowds of Americans rioting in the streets. Two opposing groups shout loudly, vying to have their messages heard and heeded. The groups meet. Confrontation ensues. Fistfights break out. Church windows are smashed. What are these rioters fighting about? Christmas. One group favors celebrating Christmas, the other opposes all Christmas observances. This isn't an imaginary event, it is history. It happened in Boston on Christmas day in 1706.

Enjoy the upcoming holidays, however you call or celebrate them.

Who would win the IQ test?

Dearly beloved supreme leader Donald Trump thinks that he could best Sec of State Rex Tillerson in an I.Q. test.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-10-10/trump-floats-iq-test-contest-with-tillerson-after-moron-report

Without a doubt, Trump does have an IQ of something, and it is more than likely a few points higher than the people who support him. But the question remains, is Rex Tillerson actually smarter than a rock?

Who/what has a higher I.Q.?

It is nice to known that not all cons here are White Nationalist

It isn't hard to tell which con here ones are White Nationalist, though. When President Trump proclaimed MAGA during the election, I don't think that his intent was to stir the bigotry pot.

The United States has always been a melting pot of people and cultures, and will continue to be, in spite of what the White Nationalist would like. They will always be around, but eventually will be an anomaly, like the Amish, looked at as being old fashion and left behind by the rest of the nation.

To those Conservative members here that don't subscribe to the WN message, bless you. Please remember that not all lefties here subscribe to the BLM or Anti-fascist messages either.

So, when Trump meets Putin, will the topic of the Election come up?

According to the latest Trumpspeak:

"I think it could very well have been Russia, but I think it could well have been other countries. I won’t be specific," Trump said at a news conference in Warsaw with Polish President Andrzej Duda. "I think a lot of people interfere. I think it’s been happening for a long time." ..... “Nobody really knows," Trump added. "Nobody really knows for sure.”

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2017/07/06/trump-refuses-to-say-definitively-russia-interfered-in-2016-election/?utm_term=.499a8826eb49

I guess that POTUS does not want to listen to any of his intelligence briefings

"U.S. intelligence officials from both the Obama and Trump administrations disagree completely with the president. Many have also warned that sowing doubt about Russia's moves plays right into Russia's playbook to undermine U.S. democracy."

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2017/07/06/8-times-u-s-intelligence-chiefs-have-unequivocally-said-russia-meddled-in-the-u-s-election/?utm_term=.6a91d135e4df

I think that Putin will own Trumps fat ass when the finally meet, and laugh at him, both behind his back, and in front fof the rest of the G20.

Shkreli told to shut up

Martin Shkreli just can't keep his mouth shut, bad mouthing the Prosecution and well as his own attorney. It got to the point that the judge stopped short of a complete gag order, but told the dickhead not to talk about any issue of the trial in or around the courthouse.

"U.S. District Judge Kiyo Matsumoto on Wednesday imposed a modified gag order on the so-called "Pharmacy Bro," requiring him to stop talking about the trial where his criticism and comments could influence jurors — and potentially cause a mistrial."

Shkreli is attempting to cause a mistrial and remain out on bail forever, knowing that the Government owns his ass.

M Shkreli Trial - Day 1 - "Mr Wonderful"

In jury selection today, they have gone through 90 of the 130 prospective jurors, dismissing about 60 of them that show prejudice against Martin.

From the NY Times:

A number of potential jurors in the fraud trial of Martin Shkreli were dismissed in quick succession on Monday morning after calling the defendant “a snake,” “the most hated man in America” and “the face of corporate greed.”

The negative comments built up to the point that Mr. Brafman began to signal to Judge Matsumoto when potential jurors had said enough that he could challenge them for cause, to stop them from going “on a tirade against Mr. Shkreli.”

Jury selection will continue on Tuesday and the Trial is expected to start by Wednesday.

For once, I agree with Ted Nugent

Ted Nugent has promised to tone down his incendiary rhetoric, and he’s calling on friends and enemies alike to
The rock musician and conservative firebrand said in a radio interview Thursday that he’s had a change of heart in the wake of the shooting in Alexandria, Virginia that left a Republican congressman and several others wounded and the suspect dead.

“At the tender age of 69, my wife has convinced me that I just can’t use those harsh terms,” Nugent said on Curtis & Eboni, of WABC Radio in New York. “I cannot, and I will not, and I encourage even my friends-slash-enemies on the left in the Democrat and liberal world that we have got to be civil to each other.”

He added, “I’m going to take a deep breath and I am going to back it down, and if it gets fiery, if it gets hateful, I’m going away. I’m not going to engage in that kind of hateful rhetoric anymore.”

Ted hangs out here on occasions. Normally I don't agree with what he has to say, but for this, I do.
