New York Times: Purging of Monuments May Mobilize the Right and Alienate the Center

New York Times Warns Purging of Monuments May ‘Mobilize the Right and Alienate the Center’
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As the alt-left, supported by members of the Democratic Party, look to tear down more and more monuments across America, the New York Times is warning that the increasing scope of the left’s iconoclasm may be alienating centrists and mobilizing the right. In an article Friday about the movement to rip down monuments and images in the wake of the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, this month, the Times says the disputes have proliferated with “dizzying speed” and suggests that the left’s fervor has started to produce questionable results:

The article goes on to say that as the campaign moves past Confederate monuments, and begins to encompass a number of other grievances, “they have become to some an example of politically correct sentiments gone too far, with the potential to mobilize the right and alienate the center.”

Now, with Trump looking to be accurate in his assessment, some Democrats are getting nervous. The Times article cites Paul Begala, a Democratic strategist who warned that the Democrats are “driving straight into a trap Trump has set.”

“While I understand the pain those monuments cause,” Begala said, “I just think it in some ways dishonors the debate to allow Trump to hijack it.”

Begala and the Times’ apparent nervousness is supported by recent polls that show significant public opposition to the purging of the statues.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What the Times says is true...but Lefty cannot help himself. antifa has been normalized and the violence has been unleashed. Normal voters look at the increasing insanity of the Left with alarm.

The do nothing Republicans deserve to lose but will win in 2018 and 2020 because they are sane.

Bernie Supporters Call for Demexit After DNC Fraud Lawsuit Dismissed

Bernie Supporters Call for ‘Demexit’ After DNC Fraud Lawsuit Dismissed
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ardent supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) lashed out at the Democratic Party establishment and threatened to bail on the party after a federal judge in Florida dismissed a class-action suit Friday alleging that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) illegally favored Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton over Sanders.

The DNC’s treatment of Sanders, who switched his party affiliation to run in the 2016 Democratic primaries, came under scrutiny after the 2016 hack into the DNC’s servers revealed that key party officials favored the more traditional Clinton over the progressive Sanders. But on Friday, Ronald Reagan appointee Judge William Zloch dismissed what Sanders’ supporters referred to as the “DNC Fraud Lawsuit” in a 28-page decision.

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

"To the extent plaintiffs wish to air their general grievances with the DNC or its candidate selection process, their redress is through the ballot box, the DNC's internal workings, or their right of free speech — not through the judiciary," Zloch wrote. "To the extent plaintiffs have asserted specific causes of action grounded in specific factual allegations, it is this court's emphatic duty to measure plaintiffs' pleadings against existing legal standards."

Zloch ultimately found that the "plaintiffs have not presented a case that is cognizable in federal court," noting that it was beyond the court's legal jurisdiction to decide "whether plaintiffs have suffered a concrete injury particularized to them, or one certainly impending, that is traceable to the DNC and its former chair's conduct."

"The court holds that they have not, which means the truth of their claims cannot be tested in this court," Zloch concluded, although he noted that "in evaluating plaintiffs' claims at this stage, the court assumes their allegations are true — that the DNC and Wasserman Schultz held a palpable bias in favor Clinton and sought to propel her ahead of her Democratic opponents."

Miami lawyers Jared and Elizabeth Beck filed a class-action suit against both the DNC and its former chairwoman, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida on June 28, 2016. The Becks said they filed the suit on behalf of other Sanders supporters across 45 states who believed that Schultz had "rigged" the primaries and exhibited "intentional, willful, wanton, and malicious" conduct in violation of Article 5, Section 4 of the DNC Charter.

The plaintiffs represented three main classes: DNC donors, Sanders donors, and registered Democrats across the board who wanted back the money they gave to the DNC .

DNC lawyer Bruce Spiva argued in court back in April that "there's no contractual obligation here" between the donors and the DNC, claiming that "it's not a situation where a promise has been made that is an enforceable promise."

Although many Sanders supporters felt bitterly betrayed by the DNC and the party establishment after the hackers released the emails, the mainstream media largely appeared to ignore the party's inner drama.

"For Sanders supporters, the lawsuit provides an opportunity for vindication for being cheated and attacked by the Democratic establishment," Michael Sainato, a reporter for the Observer, wrote back on May 8. "Now, the DNC is on record arguing that its voters have no reason to trust it to maintain free and fair elections."

After Zloch dismissed the suit, Sanders supporters and progressives flocked to the DNC Fraud Lawsuit's Facebook page to voice their grievances and express their frustrations with the Democratic Party. While some pledged to never donate money to the DNC ever again, others promised to bail on the party and support other candidates.

Facebook user Vicki L Nulik Morrison argued Friday on the Facebook page that the suit "was worth it just to hear the DNC say in court that they didn't have to play fair or even follow their own guidelines."

"They admitted they are crooks and they will NEVER see another dime of my money," Nulick Morrison continued. "I understand they are having a hard time raising money! That suits me just fine!! I hope they go broke."

"This is basically the reason I Dem-exited. The party itself can do what it wants. The primaries are a sham, and the courts just upheld the sham. Sad day for voters, but they told us clearly they and only they can decide for us who will be the candidate for president," Facebook user Mary Acosta Granger wrote.

"If DNC wants to dictate the leadership's pick for candidate, then the taxpayers should not have to pay for the primary or caucuses," user Carol Preston wrote.

"Not voting dem ever again even IF Bernie or another progressive ran as a dem," user Jennifer Perez wrote.

"Wow! I guess the DNC does not want us to have a choice after all. Just pay back the money and give us a public apology. Then maybe I will consider voting Dem again. At least in one way the was honest," user Craig Hahn wrote.

"I'm sad for our democracy. They tricked and bamboozled folks that thought the was giving us a clear choice between two candidates, but they were making their backroom deals, and knew exactly who they were going to run as their presidential candidate," user Maya Grafmuller wrote. "Either I didn't read the small print, or they blatantly deprived me of an actual choice of candidate! I want my money back."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They are right. The establishment of both parties has to go.
the establishment rules for itself, not the people. If people want a change they must make it happen themselves.
Sanders supporters are screwed in the primaries...if you want a fair chance, you will need to split from the DNC.

The GOP ought to be watching this with alarm...but they will continue to sleep.

Alabama HS students want classroom LGBT flag removed, compare it to Confederate flag

Alabama HS students want classroom LGBT flag removed, compare it to Confederate flag
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Students and parents at a high school in Alabama are calling for the removal of a classroom LGBT “rainbow pride” flag, saying it is comparable to the Confederate flag.

More than 2,400 people thus far have signed a Change.org petition calling for the flag to be taken down at Auburn High School. “The following signers of this petition ask that the Pride Flag flown in Mrs. Yeager’s classroom be removed as we strongly feel that it creates a hostile and provocative learning environment for students not comfortable to openly supporting the LGBTQ+ community in a public school where students come from diverse political and religious backgrounds,” the petition reads.

“Furthermore, we believe it is unprofessional and distracting for a teacher to be so openly displaying their political views in an unbiased and socially neutral public setting.”

The New York Post reports the pride flag was hung up two weeks ago as part of a school fair.

The students’ petition asks school principal Shannon Pignato to “consider the uproar and chaos that would ensue were a teacher to hang for example a Confederate, Christian, or Heterosexual Flag in their classroom.

“There would likely be protests, emails from teachers, and threatening of lawsuits from parents with differing viewpoints. As such, one does not see teachers hanging these flags in classrooms due to the same argument that it is unprofessional and can create a hostile and un-ideal learning environment.

Sound and well thought out argument. Remove the rainbow flag!
Democrats created this monster, now you have to live with it. Push back is a good thing.

I heard a rumor....and its just a rumor that Trump will trade DACA for Funding the Wall

Trump doesn't need congress to dump DACA. DACA is supported by the establishment in both parties.
Trump initially came out in support of DACA, but he will kill it if he can't get his do nothing congress to act.

what do you think? is the wall worth a trade?

The pardon of Arpaio was a good deed for Trump

Lefty knew it was coming and as all things Trump will find fault no matter what he does.
The arguments and articles of disapproval were already written in advance.

Trump Halts Pentagon Payments for Transgender Surgery
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump on Friday stopped funding for sex-reassignment treatment for transgender people currently in the military and barred the Pentagon from accepting any more transgender people into the services.

The president signed a memo giving new guidance to his previously-tweeted ban on transgender individuals serving in the U.S. military, according to a senior White House official who briefed reporters on condition of anonymity.

Trump signed the memo, the details of which were first reported by The Wall Street Journal, on Friday and directed the departments of Defense and Homeland Security to stop funding of sex-reassignment procedures and deny entry of transgender individuals into the military.

To all cons: if you print the word, "Tranny" you will be allerted on.

Just a helpful hint for anyone discussing Trump's military tranny ban. Tranny is some sort of microaggression.
The word, "tranny" gives snowflakes a bad case of Jimmy Rustling.

so whatever you do, do not say, 'tranny."

"Mentally ill" seems to be OK. micros do not seem to be agressed with that.
and I never got an alert with "Freak."

just helping you guys and gals out here. Because, you know there are only two REAL genders in reality.

Trump tells Mattis to indefinitely ban tranny recruits. #WINNING

I will not forgive
I cannot forgive. It's been nearly 10 months since the election, and the wounds haven't healed. They've only gotten worse. They've been ripped open by Tiki torch mobs, by Trump's defense of them, and his never ending narcissism. I find myself more angry now than I was in November. It's an anger of pain, of torment over what has befallen our nation. It's an anger at injustice, the injustice of the Trump administration and the injustice of the lies and smears against Clinton, and the willful ignorance of those who spread them.

I will not forgive Trump voters. I will not forgive the people who spread and continue to spread Kremlin propaganda, whether it was targeted at the right or potential Democratic voters. I will not forgive my uncle who voted for Gary Johnson. I will not forgive Stein voters, write-in-voters, or all around rat fuckers. I will not forgive the people who spread lies about Hillary Clinton and in so doing ensured the country would fall into the hands of a White Nationalist, a Nazi enabler, and a fascist.

In November, 2016, America stood at a cross roads. Representative democracy, what some decried as the "status quo" lay on one side, and fascism on the other. The 67 million Americans who voted for Clinton chose democracy. Hillary as an individual was the least of what was on the ballot. Instead, it was a choice about the soul and future of America. Would we be inclusive or hateful? Would we embrace progress or turn the clock back to the era of Jim Crow? Would we move forward as an representative democracy or would we descend into fascism. 67 million Americans chose democracy. The rest chose fascism, whether by voting for Trump, someone else, or not voting at all. I fault all of them, every last one, for what this country has become, for what Trump and his Tiki torch Nazis have done to it.

It may not be politically wise. It may not be emotionally healthy. In fact, I'm sure it's not healthy. But I cannot forgive, and I will never forget.

I was able to live with 0bama for eight years. I didn't like it but I didn't hate people because they voted for him.

Elections come and elections go. Sometimes you win and sometimes you loose. ~~This is freedom,~~
It concerns me that so many on the left cannot deal with a free and fair election.

Most of the libs here are not this crazy, but if you see yourself in this Op...get a spine. If I can deal with 0bama, you can live with Trump. Seriously. If you cut off family because they voted the wrong way, then YOU are the idiot, not them.

That last statement was more for DU. Even the worst of the trolls here are not this crazy

Ya know, there are only a handful of Nazis and White Nationalists in the US

Yet Lefty wants you to believe that there are MILLIONS.
in fact, Lefty wants you to believe that anyone not a Lefty is a white nationalist.

Lefty knows its a lie. But he will promote it to justify violence against conservatives.
There were no nazis in Boston, but Lefty claims he was fighting nazis.

Lefty wants to be violent, People will not support violence against a legitimate and legal Republican party.
So Lefty INVENTED an enemy to fight.
