How are you preparing for catastrophic climate change?

Given science has proved that we are in the midst of catastrophic climate change:

* That we are just past, at, or just before the tipping point of irreversible catastrophic climate change
* There is a good chance the human species will not to survive
* There will be mass starvation
* That we are in the midst of the 6th great mass extinction event
* Weather will be much more extreme
* Droughts, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, extreme heat and cold will be common
* Sea levels are on an irreversible course to rise dramatically over the next few decades
* Carbon based fuels such as natural gas and oil are close to running out.
* etc.

What steps have you made personally to prepare for the consequences of climate change? If not for you, then for your progeny? Have you moved away from the coast to an elevation at least 200 ft above current sea level? Are you prepared to endure prolonged periods of drought or lack of food? Are you prepared to deal with the multitudes of climate refugees? The societal unrest, chaos, wars? Have you moved to closer to polar latitudes to escape the coming burning heat?

If you haven't taken significant steps to prepare, then why not?

University Decides To Stop Instructing Students to CALL 911 To Report OFFENSIVE SPEECH
The school is Santa Clara University, reports Campus Reform. As most people who have aged into the high single digits know, the 9-1-1 telephone number is a special, serious service reserved for emergencies which require immediate assistance from the police, the fire department or an ambulance.

Until this month, however, Santa Clara administrators have been instructing students to report “bias incidents” using the emergency service reserved for dispatching police, firefighters and ambulances. “If the bias incident is in progress or just occurred: ALWAYS CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY,” the Santa Clara website instructed students in fierce, all-capital letters.

Officials at school the have defined a “bias incident” as “any speech, act, or harassing action that targets” or “attacks” any “individual or group” because of “race, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, age, religious creed, physical or mental disability, medical condition, marital status, citizenship status, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, military or veteran status, or other status protected by law.”

In a currently accessible brochure on the Santa Clara website, officials at the Jesuit school continue to urge students to ALWAYS CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY” about “bias incidents” underway. The brochure explain that people caught using language someone else finds offensive can be subject to “educational sanctions, disciplinary probation, suspension, and expulsion.”

But oh the conundrum. What happens when someone calls 911 to report a 'bias incident' on the hate speech from a Black Lives Matter rally?

That's right, Vester. Vester Flanagan was hired repeatedly to meet these EEO and affirmative action goals, and he was fired repeatedly. Most likely his incompetence got him fired. But it was also attitude related. When he was fired so many times for these reasons, he couldn't deal with it, and he went postal. No, let's not say that. He lost it. He went mental health on everybody while deep in this stigmatized victimhood.

...Obviously he wasn't and he kept making the rounds and he kept getting fired. He was all ticked off that he didn't get the job that supposed to get. He had PTSD 'cause he couldn't get the job he wanted! So he's relying on victimhood; the world was against him. He was one of these people always looking for trouble, he always was... He would walk around the office waiting for somebody to say anything that he could interpret as racist, to give him an excuse for failure, to give him an excuse for not making it.

And then that would... He'd think he'd heard something; then he would tell himself he heard it, and it would just magnify in his mind to the point that he exploded. And it was known. I mean, everybody that worked with the guy knew he wasn't right. It's just... I don't know. I watched the father of reporter on TV today. I can't put myself in these people's shoes like I... It's so needless. But despite all of this, Ben Shapiro has a great, great take on this at Breitbart.

The headline of his piece: "Black, Gay Reporter Murders Straight, White Journalists -- Media Blame the Gun." Democrats Blame the Gun. Oh, yeah. We have an angry minority (plus add angry homosexual to the mix now), and we've been told that we are to recognize certain things when homosexual bias exists. We're supposed to not notice those things when the situation is reversed. Now we have to blame the gun, now we have to blame gun control, now we need more gun laws, now we're gonna blame PTSD. As I say, the media's conflicted here over where to really place the final blame, so they choose the gun. That's the safe way to go.

I think ultimately everyone will be shocked when Trump wins the Hispanic vote.

Hispanic citizens, those who came here legally, don't like the swarm of illegal aliens either. Remember, the illegal aliens cannot vote (at least they are not supposed to vote).
A Legal Immigrant's Take on Illegal Immigration
When I received my greencard two years ago, I was sent a letter from the Department of Homeland Security -- the same letter that is sent to thousands of new immigrants every week -- from which I quote: We will soon mail you a new Permanent Resident Card... When you receive your card, you must carry it with you at all times if you are 18 older. It is the law. Pretty clear. While a permanent resident, I am here as a guest, and my carrying my "greencard" is a reasonable step on the path to becoming a proud American -- "reasonable" because any nation needs to know whom it lets in, as part of its responsibility to the security of its citizens.

First, prohibit anyone who has committed a visa/immigration violation from ever becoming a permanent resident (and therefore citizen) of the country. A violator who has American family here may remain only under rolling sponsorship of their American spouse.

Second, limit family-based immigration to immediate family only. Allow a new citizen to sponsor only his spouse and children into the country - and perhaps, if he can prove the means to support them, elderly parents when they need care. No more uncles, aunties, cousins, grandmothers etc..

Third, send a test case to the supreme court regarding the 14th amendment, which states,
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. This amendment was passed in 1868 to ensure that all persons, including slaves and their progeny, could be citizens of the nation. Children of diplomats, foreign visitors or similar aliens are not included. Nor was the amendment intended to extend to children of illegal immigrants who perhaps more than any, are not subject to the jurisdiction of this country.

Doomers never let reality get in the way of a good scare mongering.

In the great liberal tradition of never letting a crisis go to waste, we are seeing a glorious reliving of hurricane Katrina 10 years later.

In the midst of the longest hurricane drought in U.S. history ( doomers at liberal Time magazine dust off the old 'global warming is making hurricanes worse' lie. But the low information readers and the low information people in the media will gobble up the continuation of the global warming hoax. Anything to keep the global warming lie in the minds of the masses...
Why Climate Change Could Make Hurricane Impact Worse
In the academic community, the unexpected disaster prompted climate scientists to consider the link between climate change and storms. Since then, research has shown that climate change will increase the devastation caused by hurricanes as sea levels rise due to global warming. Some research has also suggested that climate change has increased the intensity and frequency of storms.

The phenomenon of storm surge plays an essential role in the worsening effect of hurricanes. Storm surge occurs when waters rise above their normal level during a storm and wind and weather conditions push that water onto shore. Thanks to global warming and rising sea levels, the potential for ocean water to be washed ashore by a storm surge has risen as well.

Climate policy fail

Doomers like Gina McCarthy and the rest of the fools at the EPA should be forbidden from ever working for the government. The EPA administrator is about as convincing on climate as Hillary is talking about her emails/server.
Even if you buy the science, the policy still fails
In a recent speech to the Washington-based think tank Resources for the Future, EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy promoted the White House’s new Clean Power Plan by: (a) appealing to science and disallowing any debate about it; (b) making statements unsupported by the science; (c) praising the economic analysis behind the plan; and (d) announcing rules that economic analysis says won’t work and will cost too much. In other words, it was business as usual in the world of climate policy.

... she focused on the harms from extreme weather events, attributing the California drought to carbon dioxide emissions, as well as increased storms, wildfires and floods. She said anthropogenic climate change (i.e. global warming) leads to more extreme heat and, amazingly enough, more extreme cold. And she linked weather-related economic threats facing families and small businesses to anthropogenic climate change.

Contrary to McCarthy’s claim, the SREX singled out the U.S. as a region where “droughts have become less frequent, less intense or shorter.” Worldwide there is only “limited to medium” regional evidence regarding changes in floods because the records are sparse and the effects are confounded with changes in land use and engineering. “Furthermore,” they said, “there is low agreement in this evidence, and thus overall low confidence at the global scale regarding even the sign of these changes.”

McCarthy told her audience not to question her science and to respect the research behind their climate policy. If you doubt her analysis, you will definitely find the policy plan misguided. The problem is that, even if you accept her science and economics, it’s still misguided.

Rupert Murdoch links regulations, climate change 'nonsense' to global financial turmoil
Media mogul Rupert Murdoch took to Twitter Wednesday night to weigh in on the recent volatility in global financial markets, calling small business "the only hope for growth" while decrying the regulatory obstacles standing in its way -- and pointing a finger at climate change "alarmist nonsense."

Murdoch is a regular critic of what he says are excessive and outdated government regulations, and in his tweets he focused the criticism specifically on rules related to climate change. "In the last 3 decades carbon in US air has reduced by nearly 50%," he observed, adding that he is "A climate change skeptic not a denier."

But he proceeded to blast climate change activists, saying "Sept UN meets in NY with endless alarmist nonsense from u know whom! Pessimists always seen as sages." The 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly is scheduled to open in New York City on September 15. One of the main themes expected to be discussed is environmentally sustainable development, with an eye toward the United Nations Climate Change Conference scheduled for the end of the year in Paris.

All the doomers flying to COP 21 in Paris to stay in luxury hotels, drink champagne, and party down on someone else's dime sure won't like Murdoch's remarks. I can't wait to expose the doomer hypocrisy on display at COP 21. Hey does anyone know if Leonardo Dicaprio is going by private jet or mega yacht? I guess whichever has a lower carbon foot print.

Forget global warming. Global cooling is the real threat.
Mankind threatened by global cooling, not warming
As the Obama administration creates policy based on the premise that the planet is warming, more and more scientists are concluding the real danger is global cooling. One recently painted this scenario: Food shortages from crop failures brought on by cold weather during the summers will produce civil unrest, as in “huge civil unrest.” “There’s no question of will it occur … but exactly when,” said David Dilley, a former NOAA meteorologist and the current senior research scientist at Global Weather Oscillations.

Dilley predicts there will be years in which the mouth of Chesapeake Bay is frozen over and the "Great Lakes are ice-clogged." There will be "disruptions to commerce and the food supply," he said. "This is coming."

He points out that temperature peaks always are followed by peaks in carbon dioxide levels, which would refute the modern global-warming theorists who insist that mankind's production of carbon dioxide is causing global warming. The coldest point in the coming cycle, he said, will be the years 2025 through about 2050.

Group of women ejected from Napa Valley Wine Train

Sounds like a case of people with bad manners who got their hat handed to them. I'd like to see more businesses eject self centered people that ruin events for others. More and more we see atrocious behavior at restaurants, movie theaters, airplanes, concerts, public spaces. Most people don't want to hear other people's phone conversations, cursing, loud obnoxious behavior, loud music, insults, complaints how you are special and can jump line or block other people or monopolize resources meant to be shared by all.
A group of black women, traveling on the Napa Valley Wine Train and expelled for their boisterous behavior, claims that they were “humiliated.”

The women assert that they were the victims of racism; one member of the book club, Sisters on the Reading Edge, Lisa Johnson, said, “It was humiliating. I’m really offended to be quite honest. I felt like it was a racist attack on us. I feel like we were being singled out,” according to The San Francisco Chronicle.

Although the train company has issued a refund, the women are demanding a public apology for the incident on Saturday. On Sunday. Napa Valley Wine Train spokeswoman Kira Devitt explained that the train company “received complaints from several parties in the same car and after three attempts from staff, requesting that the group keep the noise to an acceptable level, they were removed from the train and offered transportation back to the station in Napa.”

Devitt noted that the train removes rowdy passengers roughly once a month.
