cooling process which may pose a serious threat to man-made global warming theory
Though the cooling effects of isoprene are well known, what is new is the discovery that the oceans are producing much more of it than has been accounted for in the alarmists’ climate models. (H/T Lewis Page; The Register)

The computer models assume that the total quantity of isoprene produced by trees, plants and plankton amounts to 1.9 megatons per year. But what researchers have discovered is a process whereby isoprene is also produced in far greater quantities abiotically (ie not from plant or animal life) from the action of sunlight on chemicals in the ocean, possibly as much as 3.5 megatons more per year.

Climate skeptics have, of course, long argued that the models used by alarmists to predict future climate change are fatally flawed because they exaggerate the influence of man-made carbon dioxide and fail to take into account other unknown or ill-understood factors. This discovery presents further proof that the skeptics are right: the reason that all that predicted “global warming” has failed to materialize is that it has been countered by the planet’s natural cooling effects.

“Here is more evidence of what we have known for some time: that climate models simply do not mirror the reality of a chaotic system – and that they should never have been trusted in the first place,” says Dr Benny Peiser, director of the Global Warming Policy Foundation.

Clinton’s email woes deepen
Clinton’s email woes deepen as classified messages pile up
The number of emails now marked classified doubled with the latest release.
The number of emails now considered classified total more than 400, with three of the 215 newly classified documents marked as SECRET — the middle tier of the national security classification system. While Clinton has maintained that she never received or forwarded messages that were marked classified at the time, critics have argued that the use of a private email account and server put her in a precarious position when dealing with sensitive materials.

In another blow to the Clinton campaign's "nothing to see here" narrative, the latest release shows that hackers targeted her personal email at least five times in August 2011, as part of a widespread speeding ticket hoax. It's not clear if Clinton ever clicked on what appeared to be virus-laden attachments that security experts say seem to have originated in Russia. Clinton and her surrogates have argued there is no evidence her "home brew" email system was ever compromised.

Intelligence agencies have said several other messsages in Clinton's account contained more highly classified information, including at least two messages classified "TOP SECRET" or higher.

When the controversy over Clinton's private email account erupted in March, she said she'd turned over about 55,000 pages of messages to State in December. State now says the count was just over 54,000 pages. After a review by Clinton's former agency and the National Archives, about 1,500 pages have been deemed wholly personal and therefore not agency records subject to the Freedom of Information Act. That leaves about 52,500 pages processed for release or awaiting release.

“The Democrat Party, of course, is the party of the KKK. Of Jim Crow laws."

Finally. A candidate is telling the truth to Democratic voters.
Ben Carson uses empowerment message in bid to sway black voters
Ben Carson is hoping to awaken black voters to his campaign with a message of economic empowerment, saying the black community has been done a disservice by heeding political power overtures from Democrats.

Speaking to a small group of black leaders and activists last week, the retired neurosurgeon, who is surging in polling in the Republican presidential race, said he believes black Americans bring more power through the size of their bank account than by putting their “fist in the air.”

But he said black voters should step beyond their allegiance to the Democratic Party.

“The Democrat Party, of course, is the party of the KKK. Of Jim Crow laws. And perhaps just as bad right now, of servitude. ‘Now you do this, and we’ll take care of you, pat you on the head, take care of all your needs.’ Which keeps people believing that’s what they actually need,” Mr. Carson told the small group.

New Carl's Jr Tex Mex commercial pokes fun at border wall

Talk about societal decay. The new Carl's Jr commercial not only make light of the serious border issue, it shows people ignoring the harmful effects of sun exposure. I have watched this commercial numerous times and still have yet to find a redeeming message. The optimist in me believes there is some redeeming message hidden in the commercial. I will keep watching until I find it.

Colorado Sheriffs Move Forward With Challenge Of State Gun Laws
A group of sheriffs from different Colorado counties are moving forward with their fight to repeal stricter state gun laws put in place three years ago.

Those laws limit the capacity of ammunition magazines and expand background checks on gun purchases in Colorado. Sheriffs like Garfield County Sheriff Lou Vallario say they are committed to fighting to protect what they say is citizens’ Second Amendment rights.

Dozens of current and former sheriffs gathered in Denver on Monday along with gun rights groups at the Byron White Courthouse. Many of those individuals are named in a lawsuit which challenges Colorado’s new laws.
Many of the sheriffs say the gun laws in question are unenforceable. One example, they say, of a violation that is nearly impossible to enforce is when someone lends a gun to a friend.

Justice: the antigunner Democratic way
New Jersey Gun Laws Screw Over Another Innocent Mom – Facing 10 years in Prison
Mia Higginbotham was charged with unlawful possession of her own, lawfully owned unloaded handgun, which was packed in its original box and locked in her hard-sided luggage. She was moving from her residence in New Jersey to her residence in Florida. She declared the firearm at check-in, but was ssubsequently arrested at Liberty International Airport in Elizabeth / Newark.

She had no ammunition in her possession whatsoever, and was plainly trying to follow the law.

Mia is married and has a young daughter. She is currently facing 10 years in State Prison with a minimum mandatory of 3.5 to 5 years with no chance of parole for her attempt to lawfully transport her handgun between residence

Democrats love to prosecute an innocent mom for her politically incorrect behavior of owning a firearm; but have no problem letting violent illegal aliens go free to terrorize U.S. citizens.

Abortion: do you support this?

Okay all you defenders of PP. Defend this.

The Center for Bioethical Reform, in partnership with the Grantham collection, has released the full version of a video which became a source of political controversy after the 2nd Republican debate.

The 13 minute long video shows the birth of what CBR describes as a “17 1/2 week fetus.” The fetus is placed in a metal pan with a clamp attached to its umbilical cord. A comparison demonstrates the new video is the source of the brief segment that appeared in a video produced by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), a pro-life investigatory group which has produced undercover videos critical of Planned Parenthood.

During CNN’s Republican primary debate on September 16, Carly Fiorina challenged Hillary Clinton to watch a video clip which showed “a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking, while someone says, ‘We have to keep it alive to harvest its brain.’”

More love, tolerance, and open mindedness on display at TSTSNBN

For your amusement.
I'm harboring a seething, white-hot burning hatred of republicans right now...

Am I alone in this degree of loathing? How do I deal with it?

More Obamacare FAIL in the news.

Two dozen state coop failures so far. Several more coming soon. I guess we have to pass the bill to find out what is in it. I wonder if Joe Biden still thinks "this is a big fucking deal". Socialism works until you run out of other people's money. But who cares. A bunch of liberal political activists and insurance companies got rich and then they laundered the fed funds back into the Democratic Party. All is good.
Feds Admit More Obamacare Co-Op Flops Ahead
Federal officials admitted for the first time Monday that the collapse of the largest and most costly of nearly two dozen Obamacare-funded health insurance co-ops may not be the program’s last failure. The admission followed the collapse Friday of Health Republic of New York after regulators ordered the co-op “to cease writing new health insurance policies,” leaving 155,000 customers scrambling to find new coverage by the end of the year.

“If a co-op has solvency issues, and we cannot rule out that others may this year, we will work with the states so that consumers have affordable options on the marketplace,” said Department of Health and Hhuman Services spokesman Aaron Albright.

Piers Morgan's latest spittle-flecked rant

As usual, Piers Morgan is representing the 0.002% of the populace. I think PM has even a smaller following than Keith 'asshat' Olbermann.
The Pope’s right: America doesn't have to be a country driven by gun-toting, blood-thirsty, planet-destroying bigots
In a blistering speech, he ripped into the GOP, not by name but by association to their avowed policies on everything from guns and immigration to the death penalty and climate change. It was riveting stuff and frankly, whichever side of the political divide you sit, it needed to be said.

America doesn’t have to be a country driven by gun-toting, blood-thirsty, planet-destroying bigots.

There is, as Pope Francis so eloquently espoused in Congress today , another way. A way that actually far better represents the intrinsic values and virtues which made the United States the great country it is at its heart. A way that puts fairness, tolerance, compassion and kindness above greed, ruthlessness, selfishness, war-mongering and personal ambition.
