At least some of the DUers are coming to grips with their mental insanity. Though most seem unashamed to have it constantly on display. Especially in the newsroom and Hollywood.
I can't take much more
Of this Trump crap. He is such an idiot. I can hardly read or listen to CNN, MSNBC or any of them. He has literally driven me crazy. Is that the game? Well, I don't wanna play it anymore. Praying for Mueller.

It's Dec 29th. Where are all the posters who said Trump would be impeached or resign

by the end of the year? Do we have a new projected date for impeachment or resignation?

Another Huma Abedin Relative Headed To The Slammer
Huma’s Cousin, Who Partnered With ‘Russian Donald Trump,’ Convicted of Fraud, Tampered With Case By Deleting Emails
A cousin of Huma Abedin who did a half-billion dollar deal with a man known as the “Russian Donald Trump” was convicted of fraud Tuesday, and the judge ordered him jailed immediately, saying he had demonstrated a “disdain for the courts and legal process” and was a flight risk.

Court documents also depict him trying to destroy potential evidence, saying he emailed his brother to “delete all of my emails from the yahoo site,” expressing “concern about them subpoening yahoo at some point,” while concocting other fake documents to show the jury.

Abedin's cousin was also tied to the Marc Rich pardon where the Clintons took a bribe to pardon a criminal.

An in-depth 2014 profile in Fortune magazine says Doronin is “referred to in the British press as the ‘Russian Donald Trump.'” Dorinin was born in what was then Leningrad before moving to Geneva to work for Marc Rich, a financier who fled the U.S. after being indicted for fraud and trading with Iran, and was pardoned by former President Bill Clinton on Clinton’s last day in office. “Clinton’s motive for pardoning Rich on his last day in office was questioned,” USA Today reports, “because Rich’s ex-wife, Denise Rich, was a wealthy Democratic donor who made a $450,000 donation to Clinton’s presidential library foundation and more than $100,000 to Hillary Clinton’s Senate campaign.”

Maybe the doomers were right after all?

Given all the cold weather.

Newsweek's 1975 article predicting catastrophic global cooling. Although the content was the opposite of what they are saying today, the doomsday tone was identical.

“There are ominous signs that the earth’s weather patterns have begun to change dramatically and that these changes may portend a drastic decline in food production – with serious political implications for just about every nation on earth,” began the article titled “The Cooling World.” The article went on to chronicle in surprising detail which nations would be most affected by global cooling, notably Canada, the USSR, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indochina, and Indonesia.

“Meteorologists disagree about the cause and extent of the cooling trend, as well as over its specific impact on local weather conditions,” Newsweek asserted. “But they are almost unanimous in their view that the trend will reduce agricultural productivity for the rest of the century. If the climatic change is as profound as some of the pessimists fear, the resulting famines could be catastrophic.”

More doomertist hypocrisy about the California droughts.

Back in 1994 (before the current drought) the liberal NY Times published this article talking about severe natural droughts lasting over a hundreds years and extremely severe.
Severe Ancient Droughts: A Warning to California
BEGINNING about 1,100 years ago, what is now California baked in two droughts, the first lasting 220 years and the second 140 years. Each was much more intense than the mere six-year dry spells that afflict modern California from time to time, new studies of past climates show. The findings suggest, in fact, that relatively wet periods like the 20th century have been the exception rather than the rule in California for at least the last 3,500 years, and that mega-droughts are likely to recur.

But now the doomers needs to stoke climate fear-mongering in this 'science' publication. So now a 5 year drought in CA is the worst evah.
California drought worst in at least 1,200 years
The ongoing California drought is the driest period in the state’s history since before Charlemagne ruled the Holy Roman Empire, a new study concludes.

Despite this week’s rainstorm, more than half of California remains in “exceptional” drought conditions, the most severe drought designation. The three-year period since 2011 is the driest in 120 years of recorded history, and a new survey of tree rings in blue oaks now provides a larger historical context. The current drought is the most extreme since the year 800, researchers report in a paper in press in Geophysical Research Letters.

Doomers: the new useful idiots for the march of Marxism.

I wish the doomers could get their stories straight.

For decades doomertists told us the little ice and and the medieval warming periods really didn't exist or were insignificant.
Little Ice Age
Michael E Mann
University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, USA

While there is evidence that many other regions outside Europe exhibited periods of cooler conditions, expanded glaciation, and significantly altered climate conditions, the timing and nature of these variations are highly variable from region to region, and the notion of the Little Ice Age as a globally synchronous cold period has all but been dismissed (Bradley and Jones, 1993; Mann et al., 1999). If defined as a large-scale event, the Little Ice Age must instead be considered a time of modest cooling of the Northern Hemisphere, with temperatures dropping by about 0.6 °C during the 15th–19th centuries (Bradley and Jones, 1993; Jones et al., 1998; Mann et al.,1998, 1999).
The Little Ice Age Was Very, Very Little
The Little Ice Age is often cited by climate change deniers as proof humans are not causing global warming. The theory goes that Earth is naturally coming out of a period of coolness, and thus the changes in global temperature are merely coincidental. We’ve known for a while that argument is essentially crap. But now a new study has further cemented its crapness by discovering that the Little Ice Age was almost insignificant, and cannot account for modern temperature increases.

Now the doomertists are blaming the lack of disastrous rising temperatures on the ice age. No doubt, the doomertists will need lots and lots more money to study the settled science.
Deep Pacific cooled by ‘little ice age’ waters
The “little ice age,” a global cooling trend that ended centuries ago, is still cooling the deep Pacific Ocean, researchers reported at the fall meeting of the American Geophysical Union. The oceans are a massive heat reservoir, absorbing some 90% of the warming from human-caused climate change. But this modern heat doesn’t penetrate evenly or quickly into their vast depths. Using rare ocean temperature readings taken in the 1870s and comparing them to today, researchers found that the deep Pacific seems to be cooling in a pattern that reflects the little ice age, a global cooling trend of a few tenths of a degree that held sway until the 1800s. This cooling also has an upshot: Without it, oceans would be poised to absorb less heat from human-driven climate change than they are now.

Christmas Is Here, Everyone! EPA Officials Are Leaving in Droves
Environmental Protection Agency officials are “leaving in droves”, reports the New York Times.
More than 700 people have left the Environmental Protection Agency since President Trump took office, a wave of departures that puts the administration nearly a quarter of the way toward its goal of shrinking the agency to levels last seen during the Reagan administration.

As I’ve argued before, the EPA has always had less to do with protecting the environment – Colorado gold mine, anyone? – than it does with killing business.

Essentially, it is a communist sleeper cell introduced to the heart of the U.S. government system by Richard Nixon in the mistaken belief that paying Danegeld to your enemies will make them leave you alone.

Previous Republican presidents – such as the Bushes – were far too squishy to dare reform it.

Democrat presidents, most notably Obama, used it as a way of bypassing Congress and imposing on the U.S. a United-Nations-driven globalist agenda almost entirely inimical to the interests of American citizens.

Is California Already In Recession?

I have full confidence that liberals in California can replicate the liberal economic miracle achieved in Detroit and Venezuela. Just give it time.
Unfortunately for Governor Brown, the recession he fears may already have arrived in California.

The following chart showing the trailing twelve month averages of California's civilian labor force and number of employed is one that we've adapted from a different project to show that data in the context of the state's higher-than-federal minimum wage increases and periods of negative GDP growth for the national economy. It shows that in 2017, the size of the state's labor force has peaked and begun to decline in 2017, while the number of employed shows very slow to stagnant growth during the year.

These are therefore the same numbers that Governor Brown sees, and they have been signaling throughout 2017 that the state's economy is going through a period of stagnation after having generally grown since bottoming in mid-2011 following the Great Recession. The labor force and employment numbers aren't telling the full story however, which becomes evident when we factor in the state's growing population.

Deaths and disasters due to repeal of net neutrality

I'd like to reserve this thread as a place to put links to the myriad stories about instances of people dying, economic collapse, loss of freedom of speech, and other egregious acts due to Trump's repeal of net neutrality.

In recent months there have been innumerable liberals citing the impending tragedy and even deaths if net neutrality was repealed. I gather loss of net neutrality is nearly as significant as the ongoing 6th great mass extinction. So post away. I'm guessing the number of replies and links will be so numerous that DI admins will have to close the thread after some thousands of stories.

Should we create another thread for the topic of advice to cope with loss and grieving and depression over loss of net neutrality?

Jorge Ramos Says Hes Now Having the Worst Time of His Life in U.S.

So sad. I don't know how I'll make it through the holidays knowing Jorge Ramos isn't happy.
Nearly a year into the Trump presidency, Univision anchor Jorge Ramos says he’s experiencing “the worst moment I’ve had in the 34 years I’ve been living in the United States.”

“With Donald Trump there, I have never been treated so badly. I have never been insulted so much. We’ve never been attacked so much. They have never tried to run us out as much as now,” Ramos vented in an interview with the Spanish radio network Cadena SER.

Ramos, who proclaimed himself “if not an enemy, an opponent” of Trump in the interview, complained about the massive blowback he has received since deciding to use his media platforms to openly oppose the choice of over 62 million American voters in last year’s U.S. presidential election.

Discussing the encounter, Ramos accuses Trump of “violating the first amendment” of the U.S. Constitution. He also expressed continued optimism about the eventual outcome of his journalistic jihad against Trump. “In the end, Trump is going to lose and the racists are going to lose,” Ramos assured his interviewer.
