Doomer madness surpasses Trump Derangement Syndrome

The constant drumbeat of climate fear mongering is pushing the mentally unstable doomers to the limit.
Climate grief': The growing emotional toll of climate change
Extreme weather and dire climate reports are intensifying the mental health effects of global warming: depression and resignation about the future.

“The emotional reaction of my kids was severe,” she told NBC News. “There was a lot of crying. They told me, 'We know what’s coming, and it’s going to be really rough.’ “

“Do the students roll out nap mats and curl up in the fetal position with their blankies and pacifiers while listening to her lectures?” read a message sent to the school, she wrote in an opinion essay.

“Think about it, do you always understand what is really bothering you deep down?” she said. “The constant barrage of news that the world is ending takes a toll.”

“It wasn’t our choice to be born into a doomed world,” she said. “All this terrible stuff can happen by 2030, and I won’t even be 30 years old. It’s so frightening.”

anti-gunner propaganda strategy
When former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and husband Mark Kelly launched Americans for Responsible Solutions (now named Giffords) in early 2013, gun owners were assured that the group sought moderate “common-sense solutions” to gun violence. The group admonished NRA for not working to “to find the balance between our rights” and gun regulation. Giffords and Kelly explained, “we don't want to take away your guns any more than we want to give up the two guns we have locked in a safe at home.”

This, of course, was all a marketing ploy. From its inception, Giffords has pushed the same warmed-over gun control policies as their less messaging-savvy peers.

To help their anti-gun allies better deceive the public, in 2016 Giffords put out a gun control messaging manual titled, “A Guide to Understanding and Engaging Americans on the Need for Stronger Gun Laws.” In a section labelled, “The Do’s and Don’ts of Talking About Gun Violence,” the guide made clear to gun control supporters that “Talk about creating a national gun registry, or banning or confiscating guns” was a definite “Don’t.” The group went on to falsely contend none of those measures “are policy priorities or have widespread support among gun violence prevention organizations.”

Not only is a national gun registry a priority for gun control advocates generally, as former Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agent and current Giffords Senior Policy Advisor David Chipman made clear to The Hill this week, it is an explicit policy priority for Giffords.

In response to a question about AR-15 rifles, Chipman responded, “What I support is treating them just like machineguns.”

Brazil's new foreign minister believes climate change is a Marxist plot

People are waking up around the world. People 1. Doomers 0
Ernesto Araújo has called climate science ‘dogma’ and bemoaned the ‘criminalisation’ of red meat, oil and heterosexual sex

Brazil’s president-elect Jair Bolsonaro has chosen a new foreign minister who believes climate change is part of a plot by “cultural Marxists” to stifle western economies and promote the growth of China.

Ernesto Araújo – until recently a mid-ranking official who blogs about the “criminalisation” of red meat, oil and heterosexual sex – will become the top diplomat of South America’s biggest nation, representing 200 million people and the greatest and most biodiverse forest on Earth, the Amazon. His appointment, confirmed by Bolsonaro on Wednesday, is likely to send a chill through the global climate movement.

The 51-year-old diplomat – who has never served as an overseas ambassador – claims unnamed leftist politicians have hijacked environmentalism to serve as a tool for global domination.

“This dogma has been used to justify increasing the regulatory power of states over the economy and the power of international institutions on the nation states and their populations, as well as to stifle economic growth in democratic capitalist countries and to promote the growth of China,” he wrote in a post last month.

In another, he claimed the centre-left Workers party in Brazil was “criminalising sex and reproduction, saying that all heterosexual intercourse is rape and every baby is a risk to the planet as it will increase carbon emissions”. He then went on to accuse the party of criminalising red meat, oil, air conditioners and Disney movies.

Former Pa. attorney general ordered to begin jail sentence this week
Former Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane (D) will head to jail Thursday, more than two years after she was convicted on charges related to leaking grand jury documents to exact revenge on a political rival.

Montgomery County Judge Wendy Demchick-Alloy on Tuesday said that Kane must be at a Montgomery County jail by 9 a.m. Thursday to begin serving her 10- to 23-month sentence, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Nice 30 minute summary of the spying campaign on Trump by the Dems and real reason for Mueller.

Only Anti-Science Suckers Believe Climate Change Hysteria
Here is a very simple question for all of you upset over the fact that I do not believe in Climate Change: How many scientific doomsday prophecies do I have to see debunked before I am allowed to be skeptical of the next one?
How many?
Give me a number.
How about if I give you a number: Thirteen. Thirteen, y’all.

I am on the dark side of 52 now, which is not young, but it also isn’t old. And yet, I have lived to see so many media and scientifically-driven end-of-the-world predictions collapse under the weight of reality, I have nearly lost count.

This is how old I am. … Old enough to remember being told that by now…

We would be living through a new Ice Age by the year 2000.
We would all die when the ozone layer disappeared.
The oceans would be dead.
Global Cooling would destroy the world.
Acid rain would destroy our forests.
Overpopulation would result in worldwide famine.
We would deplete our natural resources.
We would run out of oil.
The polar ice caps would melt.
Manhattan would be underwater.
People who live in cities will have to wear gas masks.
Nitrogen buildup will make the land unusable.
“Decaying organic pollutants would use up all of the oxygen in America’s rivers, causing freshwater fish to suffocate.”

And that is just the Big Stuff, the world-shaking predictions the oh-so holy scientific consensus got horribly wrong during my lifetime. Yes, that science was also declared settled.

Over the last half-century the Holy Scientific Consensus has gotten everything wrong, from your breakfast food to the literal apocalypse. But now we are supposed to roll over and play socialist because the Holy Consensus says Climate Change will wipe us out by 2050.

Sorry, no.

My Instant Pot Ultra arrived today.

I finally broke down and bought one. I'm looking forward to seeing if I like it. I'll be trying out some recipes over the next couple of weeks.

Thanksgiving poll

It is easy for us to forget the blessings we have. We are caught up in the day-to-day politics, health issues, family problems, paying bills, etc. However, when we consider the arc of human history most of us are living a life of ease and comfort and safety few humans have ever experienced. Those of us born in and living in North America at this time in history are truly lucky.

For most of human history
* lifespans were 30-45 years
* lived under tyranny and/or draconian laws
* did not have clean water
* no toilets or toilet paper
* awful and ineffective healthcare
* no anesthesia
* no antibiotics
* limited selection and quantities of food
* drafty, cold, dark, and dirty homes
* no/little leisure time
* no/little education
* subsistence living
* dental care consisted of a rock
* slavery was common

To put things in perspective. Would you rather be who you are right now in your same circumstances, or king/queen of England in the 17th century?

It's Thanksgiving. Time for oyster dressing! recipe link:

If Democrats succeed in banning guns what should people do?

More and more the leftists are more forthright and open about their desire to ban private ownership of guns. If they succeed in doing that what should the People do?
