I wish global warming would hurry up.

4" of warming this morning. I'm already tired of winter.

English as official language

After Trump gets rid of birthright citizenship for illegals, he should move to make English the official national language. All federal communications should be done only in English.

I look forward to the U.S. adopting the policies of these other nations
Birthright Citizenship is the automatic granting of citizenship to children born within a nation's borders or territories. The United States and Canada are the only developed nations in the world to still offer Birthright Citizenship to tourists and illegal aliens.

The following are among the nations repealing Birthright Citizenship in recent years:
Australia (2007)
New Zealand (2005)
Ireland (2005)
France (1993)
India (1987)
Malta (1989)
UK (1983)
Portugal (1981)

Left analysis: global warming the real reason people are fleeing socialist shithole nations

I guess the Guardian reporters have not seen pictures of the caravan when claiming they have nothing to eat:
The unseen driver behind the migrant caravan: climate change
While violence and poverty have been cited as the reasons for the exodus, experts say the big picture is that changing climate is forcing farmers off their land – and it’s likely to get worse

Thousands of Central American migrants trudging through Mexico towards the US have regularly been described as either fleeing gang violence or extreme poverty. But another crucial driving factor behind the migrant caravan has been harder to grasp: climate change.

Most members of the migrant caravans come from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador – three countries devastated by violence, organised crime and systemic corruption, the roots of which can be traced back to the region’s cold war conflicts.

“The main reason people are moving is because they don’t have anything to eat. This has a strong link to climate change – we are seeing tremendous climate instability that is radically changing food security in the region.”

National Chocolate Day

I forgot National Chocolate Day yesterday. I'm ready to make up for lost time!

National Chocolate Day is observed annually on October 28. While there are many specific chocolate related holidays throughout the year, National Chocolate Day celebrates all things chocolate. As America’s favorite flavor, chocolate is well deserving of its own day of honor and celebration.

Getting ready for election night.

Going to celebrate the red wave.

U.N. climate hoax committee boondoggle now costing hundreds of millions

It costs a lot of money to keep these marxists in champagne and cavier.
The cost of United Nations climate summits have ballooned in tandem with the carbon dioxide emissions officials are trying to restrain, according to estimates put together by environmental economist Richard Tol. Tol estimates that the costs U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change’s (UNFCCC) annual negotiations exceed $150 million in the last three years.

The U.N. is also convening an increasing number of climate meetings compared with the late 1990s, according to Tol. However, the costliest negotiations are the annual summits known as the Conference of the Parties (COP).“If anything, this is an underestimate,” Tol told The Daily Caller News Foundation. To estimate the annual costs of U.N. climate talks, Tol multiplied the number of meetings by the length of each meeting, the number of participants and travels costs and salaries for government workers. For example, Tol estimated U.N. climate talks cost about $200 million in 2015, the same year delegates met to hash out the Paris climate accord. Climate negotiations the following year cost slightly more, according to Tol, a professor at the University of Sussex.

Tol said that while the number of participants is fairly certain, the travel and salary costs are rough estimates. For example, Tol estimates the cost of flights and hotel stays and assumes the average government employee’s salary is four times the global average income. “I also exclude the time spent on preparing the meetings and the debriefings,” Tol said. By putting rising U.N. climate negotiation costs alongside rising greenhouse gas emissions, Tol illustrates an inconvenient truth for politicians and environmentalists: Spending hundreds of millions of dollars on climate conferences has done nothing to cut emissions.

EDC knife

For years I carried folders as my EDC knife. I tended to be partial to Benchmade and SOG. Lately I have switched to a fixed blade for my EDC: Spyderco Street Beat

I think I'm sticking with this one for a while. Now that auto knifes are legal in CO I'm thinking about getting a Benchmade CLA Auto Folding Knife. But I like the idea of the strength and simplicity of a fixed blade. Either way CO limits a 3.5" blade for legal carry.

What is your EDC?

Bomber suspect identified???

bakers edge brownie pan

FYI. We bought one of these this summer. It works really well. If you like the edge pieces of your brownies, cookie bars, mac and cheese, lasagna, etc. you might like this for your kitchen.
