Dems unprepared for a partial government shutdown that lasts for months and months

Most people as well paid as federal bureaucrats (they earn substantially more than the general public they "serve" at all but the top levels) can handle one or two missed paychecks.

But to go three months or more with no income, but mortgages or rent, food, electricity, insurance, and other continuing expenses not on shutdown, requires real, liquid financial resources that many salaried people do not accumulate. My guess is that the pain of unpaid bills is going to start gaining momentum, just as Christmas gifts charged to credit cards have to be paid this month. In another month, in February, those paycheck-less federal employees are going to see exactly how much interest has accumulated on their credit card bills. March will be much worse for them, as interest accumulates on top of the new bills that have to be charged to the plastic.

In other words, a prime segment of the Democrats' coalition is in a financial hole that gets deeper and deeper with each passing day – all because Nancy Pelosi says a border wall is "immoral," a nonsense proposition that only sycophants can mouth without inner doubts. The position that not even a dollar should be spent on a border wall is not viable, which means that a compromise on calling it a "slatted fence" or "border protection" or some other euphemism is going to get more attractive to the federal employees and to the political bosses

War of Rights-First Impressions

The Game is definitely well researched, I live in Southern Maryland and have been to most of the Major Battlefields (still need to get to Petersburg ) The Terrain is "right", the Uniforms and Weapons Authentic

I started in a "Drill Camp" to learn basic controls, they aren't overly complicated, once I was comfortable I went into a "Skirmish" type Battle set in the Woods around Antietam Creek. I spawned in and was in no immediate danger so I began to dutifully march to the sound of the Guns. As I got closer the "Thrum" of a Bullet passing close by got me on edge a little (I don't think it was fired AT me, just passed close)

I started seeing more Soldiers as I got closer and I noticed a group of Secesh falling back quickly on my left, so I looked to my right and there was a group of Blue Bellies coming out of the Woods, I raised my Rifle and realized I didn't know if it was loaded (it wasn't, Load when you spawn in!)

Like Virgil Cain's Brother I stood my ground and loaded (its realistic and maddeningly slow) and managed to get the shot off before I was dropped by a Minie Ball

I was able to get the Learning curve after that and actually made some decent shots....if you like the Civil War I think you might enjoy this...there isn't the Shoot Em Up Mentality of Call of Duty or Battlefield. It seems to be for "Buffs" who can't do Reenacting (Like Me)

Sworn in on Thomas Jefferson's Quran

Jefferson had the Quran not because he believed in it, but because, among other reasons, US shipping was being attacked by radical Islamist Barbary Pirates who justified their actions by the Quran. He wanted to understand their thought to know how to deal with them.

George Sale who wrote that translation did it specifically to expose what he thought were problematic aspects of the Quran that not everyone covered, so his point was to expose them to Christians.

Using Jeffersons Quran to swear Muslims into our Government is the equivilant of wiping Ones Ass with the Constitution. Who Authorized that Buttfuck move?

'Impeach the Motherf*cker!' Democratic Lawmaker goes after Trump on first day in Offfice

Just hours after being sworn into Congress on Thursday, Democratic Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib promised to go after President Donald Trump, telling a group of left-wing supporters she would help Democrats “impeach the motherf****r.”

Tlaib, who was one of two Muslim women sworn into Congress, made the remarks at a rally held by MoveOn near Capitol Hill, according to reporters at the event.

Spoken like a True Mooslim
