I am proud of my President, The United States President, Barack Obama

And I will shout it from the rooftops if I want to, and that is my right as an American citizen, to defend and back the President Of the United States. When he is right, he is right.

This speech ranks up there with the finest President Lincoln had, and also with the words of FDR- "the only thing we have to fear, is fear itself"

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA- His own words.
SPEECH TO THE NATION DECEMBER 6, 2015.

This Thanksgiving season, I give thanks to President Obama.

It is our responsibility to reject religious tests on who we admit into this country. It's our responsibility to reject proposals that Muslim-Americans should somehow be treated differently. Because when we travel down that road, we lose. That kind of divisiveness, that betrayal of our values, plays into the hands of groups like ISIL.

Muslim-Americans are our friends and our neighbors, our co-workers, our sports heroes. And, yes, they are our men and women in uniform who are willing to die in defense of our country. We have to remember that.

We were founded upon a belief in human dignity that no matter who you are, or where you come from, or what you look like or what religion you practice, you are equal in the eyes of God and equal in the eyes of the law. Even in this political season, even as we properly debate what steps I and future presidents must take to keep our country safe.

Let's make sure we never forget what makes us exceptional. Let's not forget that freedom is more powerful than fear. That we have always met challenges, whether war or depression, natural disasters or terrorist attacks, by coming together around our common ideals as one nation and one people.

We cannot turn against one another by letting this fight be defined as a war between America and Islam. That, too, is what groups like ISIL want.

Democratic Voters Overwhelmingly Think Clinton Won Debate; Particularly Strong on National Security

This is a SCIENTIFIC poll of voters who watched. An actual true poll.

Democratic Voters Overwhelmingly Think Clinton Won Debate; Particularly Strong on National Security Issues

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main/2015/11/democratic-voters-overwhelmingly-think-clinton-won-debate-particularly-strong-on-national-security-i.html

A Public Policy Polling survey of Democratic primary voters nationally who watched tonight’s debate finds that it reinforced Hillary Clinton’s front runner status. Viewers overwhelmingly think she won the debate, and particularly trust her over the rest of the Democratic field when it comes to issues of national security.

-67% of voters think Clinton won the debate, to 20% for Bernie Sanders and 7% for Martin O’Malley. On a related note 63% of viewers said the debate gave them a more positive opinion of Clinton, compared to 41% who said it gave them a more positive opinion of Sanders, and 37% who said it gave them a more positive opinion of O’Malley.

-Clinton is by a wide margin the candidate debate watchers trust the most on national security issues. 75% say they have the most faith in Clinton on that front, compared to only 17% for Sanders, and 5% for O’Malley. National security issues were a primary focus tonight in the aftermath of yesterday’s tragedy in France, and Democratic voters by far and away trust Clinton the most on that issue.

-What’s particularly striking is how universal the sentiment that Clinton won the debate tonight is among all the different groups within the Democratic Party. 86% of African Americans, 73% of women, 70% of moderates, 69% of seniors, 67% of Hispanics, 65% of liberals, 61% of white voters, 58% of men, and 50% of younger voters all think that Clinton was the winner of tonight’s debate.

Wishing Team Democratic Party a wonderful evening of team work & solidarity to achieve &

do the nation proud.

Remember team, the goal is the US Supreme Court, and wanting by all on the team, not to
have another Samuel Alito.

So remember, the audience you are talking to, picture when looking out through the lens of the TV
camera,

to focus your thoughts as if you were announcing to the world that your new nominee for US Supreme
Court Justice will be as great as Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagen and Steve Breyer

and remember to also remind voters to vote the entire ticket Democratic so the Senate can be won,
and as close as possible, the house can be more to the liking of the Democratic party

Remind the viewers of the utter Kaos that is going around on the Republican side.
and how the obstruction has hurt the country the last 7 years

Now go out there team, and do your best, and make America proud of you.
Remember, it takes a village of Democratic party voters and a community to organize the house and senate
to achieve and solidify all that was won by the Current Team Obama, and have that agenda cross
the finish line.

Goooooooooooooooooooo Team Democratic Party........Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Teamwork. The team that plays together, wins together.

Keep it focused on this-

Two of my heroes...never knew this...cool story

and I think this is most important- from the comments section-

David Killick > Peter Barraud • 5 hours ago
It was Peter himself who suggested his space be left vacant on the statue so anyone who wished could stand in that spot, to affirm as he did this support for these valiant men and their cause.

now, gonna make it my goal to get to San Jose and visit- and I am going to visit that statue, and stand in the empty spot and have a photo taken and show my continued support

One of President Hillary Clinton's and President Bill Clinton's favorites, so apt

To President Hillary Clinton & President Bill Clinton-

Love, soft as an easy chair
Love, fresh as the morning air
One love that is shared by two
I have found with you

Like a rose under the April snow
I was always certain love would grow
Love ageless and evergreen
Seldom seen by two

You and I will make each night a first
Every day a beginning
Spirits rise and their dance is unrehearsed
They warm and excite us
'Cause we have the brightest love

Two lights that shine as one
Morning glory and midnight sun
Time we've learned to sail above
Time won't change the meaning of one love
Ageless and ever evergreen

Hillary's opposition is Jeb Bush/Mitt Romney in the general election.

The primary already is over, she won.

Of course, she takes suggestions and ideas from others.
But one doesn't send royalty checks for ideas on how to better the fight in Nov. 2016

The battle is vs. Jeb Bush/Mitt Romney Nov. 2016

Once one realize that, it becomes crystal clear.

It is like the round table during rehearsals at SNL on Monday and Tuesday. Ideas kicked around, the strongest ideas become the main event Saturday 1130eastern time. And it goes under the banner of SNL
and at the end, the credits show all the writers

and on stage at the convention, Presidential Nominee Hillary Clinton will be flanked by all the contributors
who helped get her there and they will shake Hillary's hand and the fight is for the 270.

Seems simple concept to me.

so much so, that this is probably the greatest post I ever wrote.

CGCS-- yeah, it's amazing how in the dead of one night, 100% was eradicated from the internet...

cgcs was the offshoot the day after the 2004 election of the official
John Kerry board
then the John Kerry / John Edwards board.

(I actually misspoke above, because it was the official Kerry board during the vp war
back when I was bobgraham4vp)

anyhow

the admin ofthat board plus 2 others (3 total admins) created CGCS which stands for
common ground common sense as a place to decompress after the surprise loss in the 2004 election

However, it was unlike the official Kerry board (which was John Kerry's and part of his official website
and later part of the official Kerry/Edwards website) and had a forum (board)

the CGCS site was a pre-Discussionist type site
All were welcome and civility was (like here) the basic only rule
It was though moderated and sometime moderated by people the admins place to moderate
Later we all found out that a couple of mods at the start had other names though that stopped

It ran from Nov. 2004 to about 6 months prior to my signing up on DU

The admins did after a while, charge 2 cents a day to be a posting member
(though people were able to pass it forward to insure all who wanted to could post)

Overnight from one day to next, it completely vanished, poof it was totally gone.
And almost zero remains from it.
It completely vanished not cached, nothing zip.
I never saw anything like that

I have bumped into a few members on other sites, a few on DU, kos
but for the most part, people either no longer post (age for one, a lot of members were older)
or don't want people to know they posted there.

right before I got thrown out of DU, I had been in contact with someone who was about to
get me into contact with someone who was there but that info was lost in my pm file at DU no longer
able to access. (I think at one point in the past I asked if there was any way I could access it for an hour or so, but no that is not possible).

How the site could totally disappear is a mystery to me.

the VP wars was on the Kerry site, and the Edwards people got the Clark people all suspended for a long time
and after that one had to support Kerry/Edwards or at least not make any negative comments about them at all.
I got caught up because I was the only Florida Senator/Governor Bob Graham for VP supporter
and I was forced to alter my name there to Bob Graham 4 anything and the meaning was for Kerry to
pick him for a cabinet post after victory.

I miss the regulars from there.
And there was even a big NRA person who posted (Frenchie aka Steve from Missouri who died a tragic
death from cancer, but he was like me a big baseball fan.

It's amazing how similar that site was to here. Which is why I really like this site as the main place I am at,
and will after the election continue as long as this site continues for as long as it does.

If anyone knows anyone of is anyone from CGCS pm me.

and if anyone out there knows a poster known as confederacyofdunces aka dante a big hello

and a big shout out to the head administrator of the site Bravo to a great site
